Pilates-Mad Core-Fitness Mat

I received the order on time. In fact within 2 days of ordering. I immediately unpacked it & used for my high impact cardio exercise. I found the cushioning very good, however, the grip on my hard wood flooring & carpet was not good. The mat kept moving about & did not say in place.

I wanted a mat I could use at home for stretching and the odd bit of yoga. I chose this one because it was a bit thicker and, as I'm naturally quite boney and I have wooden floors, I wanted something that would offer more protection that the thin mats you get at the gym. It does the trick - it's lovely and thick so I can kneel or lie on it very comfortably, but it's also got the required amount of "stickiness" so that you don't go sliding around in the middle of a downward dog!I tend to leave mine out on the floor as I use it every day but it does roll up easily for storage.

I would not recommend it for yoga for it can get slippery...would be good for stretching and pilates that's all

I love this mat. I spent ages researching for a mat for my DVD workouts. I had already bought 2 mats previously, one from Argos that fell to bits after a couple of uses and another which was ok but too short.This one is perfect. I wasn't sure whether my workouts were more Pilates than Yoga but this mat is thick enough for kneeling exercises, grippy enough for stretches and lovely and long so I don't have to worry about positioning myself exactly when I have to do mat work in the middle of a fast workout. It has even stood up to quite a few mountain climber moves which is what killed my other mat!Fabulous!

All the yabbering about the rubber smell in the negative reviews almost put me off. But it didn't. Mat is gorgeous and comfy and thick. It has a faint smell, but what mat wouldn't? If you want it to have that sought after stickiness so it won't slip, you have to accept it won't be made of cotton! Nice mat, good price, super comfy.

I just received this mat in the mail, and immediately started using it. It's the perfect thickness for pilates and mat exercises. I have stone floors and I can't feel it through the mat. It grips the floor really well, which is crucial for back bends. The mat is quite long. I'm 5'10 and it's just long enough for me to lay down on.

Wow...they did increase the price. I just bought it last week with [...]...! However, 5 stars because took out my pain in knees, back, elbows, spine...you name it. I used to work out on 0.5cm and after buying this one and trying it, wow, at a difference. I really recommend it.

I am new to pilates but really wanted to start at home!Bought this and I am very happy, it's nice and thick and it's just perfect for pilates! Great buy !
