Plainly Perfect
Avid Journal writer and just love this little writing journal gem. I have purchased so many copies of this size and plain paper that I have lost count. So compact and fits in my purse or backpack. Love the paper, takes fountain pen ink lovely. (exclusive fountain pen user). Overall, love it so much that I hunted for someone to make a fabric cover and also purchased a leather one so that I can always have a place for one of these as I enjoy using it each and every time.

One of the best notebooks the industry has to offer
I am an avid fountain pen collector/user and I have used LOTS of different types of paper in my search for the perfect notebook. I would have to say that this notebook is tied with one other notebook (which has Tomoe River paper) as my favorite. First, the binding is awesome; the notebook lays flat for writing comfortably. There are two places within the notebook where the front and back cover edges can be seen within the seam. In those spots, all I have to do is press down a little on them, and then they lay flat, too. The paper is divided into four signatures (little booklets within the notebook) and is sewn instead of glued, which gives it strength and durability, as well as the ability to lay open flat. The paper itself is awesome. Cream colored and easier on the eyes than stark white. It's not a dark cream color, so it doesn't alter ink colors much. I think the ivory color enhances most ink colors. It also shows shading and sheen when using inks that are so inclined. The lines are a very faint, light blue. You can see them easily, but they're light enough that once you write, they seem to disappear. They don't jump out at you. And one very important feature: the lines are a generous (but not wasteful) 8 mm wide. That gives most people enough room to be expressive in their handwriting and not cramped. But it's not as wasteful as, say, a 10 mm-wide line. 8 mm line width is perfect for me.The texture of the paper is awesome for fountain pens, or any pen or pencil. It is smooth, but not so smooth that it causes nibs to slide around and skip. It has a very pleasant feedback that I love. You can feel your fountain pen on the paper, but it does not drag. I have become addicted to the nice feedback I get from this paper. It makes writing fun. I know I am a fountain pen geek; however, I love writing on this paper. I do a lot of writing, and I won't write on bad paper. This paper is among the best the industry has to offer. I am currently buying this notebook here on Amazon for $6.17 per notebook cheaper than what they charge for it on another popular paper seller's website. I buy these notebooks half a dozen at a time when the price is this good. I like to stock up, since you never know when prices might change. Some reviewers have said that it is ridiculous to pay this much for paper. I would venture that those people are not true paper aficionados. Or, at the minimum, they don't derive the same sense of pleasure from writing that some of us do. Writing is a big part of my life, and these notebooks make it twice as nice. But I do love getting them at a discount! I will continue to buy them on Amazon as long as the price is competitive with other websites.

The Best Fountain-Pen-Friendly Notebook
I bought my B5 LIFE Noble ruled notebook earlier this month, and I'm using it for my journal. This is the 4th one of these I've bought since I discovered them in 2014. And I use every page. I try other notebooks occasionally, but I always come back to LIFE Noble. The paper is cream-colored, smooth, and very high quality. I use fountain pens exclusively, and in this notebook and in all my past notebooks like this I haven't experienced any feathering or bleed-through. At its worst, I notice slight show-through—so slight I've never hesitated to write on both sides of a sheet. The ruling is 8mm, the only fountain-pen-friendly notebook in this price-range (or lower), that I've found, with greater than 7mm ruling. And that extra millimeter makes a lot of difference to me.The cover is cardstock. It is heavier than the typical 120gsm, and it's more durable than it looks. The signatures are sewn together and the "spine" is the signature folds covered with heavy-duty book tape. The tape has never come loose, not even a small corner, in any of these notebooks I've bought. You can open the notebook completely, press the two covers together to make one B5 writing surface (just as I do much of the time), write in it on-the-go, and do so without harming the durability of the notebook. In fact, the very first of these notebooks I bought, I sat on it every evening at dinner (opened up, covers folded back on themselves) , on a hardwood chair, for weeks, just to test its durability. Nothing came off, fell apart, ripped: no damage. If you've never bought a LIFE Noble notebook, you owe it to yourself to get one.

Love this....
I do love this journal. I filled it up--both sides--in a couple weeks after starting to use it (writing, not journaling, if that makes sense). I used a M nibs with Noodler's Heart of Darkness, Platinum Carbon, and the standard Pilot cartridges.Positives:Love how it lays flat. Love the 8 mm lines. Super smooth with no ghosting or bleed through (I use both sides). A joy to write onNegatives:Creme color (already knew that, so not a manufacture issue), and I didn't like how it was made of three smaller notebooks taped together as it caused it to open kinda strange if that makes sense.BUT STILL....I will purchase more. For me, this was the perfect pen, ink, and paper combination. Even with the creme color, it is worth it. I don't think I would use it as one of those journals you plan to keep until you die, but well worth buying.

Excellent Notebook
The media could not be loaded. Fountain pen friendly, lays flat and is true A5 with 100 sheets (200 pages) is great value for the money. Paper is off white with light gray squared grid. No feathering and not ghosting. Only a little bleeding with an extremely wet nib OB, other than that, can handle everything. The paper allows to show the nice shading of my inks. I like it! Recommended. I have added some pics next to Rhodia so you can see how cream color is. Hope this review was helpful and if it was, please consider on the helpful button.
