Great remote!
Got for my father who was constantly losing his small remote. With it on his keys he can always find it. Easy to program and works very well. No issues at all.

Nice opener
I purchased this for my boyfriend since he lives out-of-state. I figured this would be much better than getting an additional remote control for my garage. He can keep this on his keyring, or in his laptop bag, because it's small. The measurements given in the reviews is pretty accurate; it's about the same size as one of the older key fobs you got with your car. It was easy for me to pair with my garage opener; it only took a minute. I like that you're able to program more than once device, so he can use it for his personal garage at home (just so long as it's compatible).I tested it a few times and it worked every time with no issues. I haven't had the problem of it opening accidentally or from a pretty great distance as I didn't have it on my keyring, though the buttons do seem to be a little sensitive. I could see where a slight tap to the button would be enough to accidentally open the garage.Overall, I am really happy with this purchase. I would buy this again as an alternative to the standard garage door opener. The color of the button on my garage opener is purple and it paired with this just fine.

Love the small size
Love the small size. Perfect for our motorcycles. :-)Worked fine. Instructions leave much to be desired! The number of times to press the buttons based on the color of the learn on the opener is not really clear. The instructions say to press it multiple times and then learn. What it does not say is that you then have to press it a number of times again after the learn button. I am pretty sure you have to do the after the learn button presses the right number of times, but the before may only need to be once. I am not sure as I only tried it a few times and did not retest. However, the after the learn presses can be as many times as you like! When it hits the right number, it will make the opener click/flash and you know you are done. Press any other button and then it works.I bought 2 of these. (Also bought 2 of the 893 max.) I have 3 garage door openers. One is purple, one is orange, and the 3rd is red. It now works with all 3.I think the openers can only be programmed to have 5 or 6 remote codes. At first I thought 5, but then I found another remote laying around that still worked. When you learn a 7th one, it deletes the oldest one you programmed. I think the best thing to do is press learn with a long press to erase all codes and then relearn all the remotes you want to use with it. Then try the first one you programmed to be sure it still works.

Great replacement remote
I bought both the clip-on and key fob remotes so we could have one in the house & new ones with our keys. Both are very easy to operate, easily programmable and work well on our older (2003) model garage door openers. I love having the ability to control all doors with one remote. Programming is easy and took only a couple of minutes - about 10 counting the fact that I accidentally erased the other remote control codes and had to reprogram the keypad as well. To start: get a paperclip and bend it so one end is straight out (you use that to set the remote into learn mode) and set a ladder up below your garage door opener. Look at the "Learn" button; the color is key to setting up the remote. Once you know the color, read the instructions carefully. The step-by-step process was simple but there are a lot of options to read through. If you're easily confused, write the color of the learn button down, get a cup of coffee/tea and write down the steps for your type of garage door opener. Basically, it comes down to:1) insert the paperclip into the remote to put it into learn mode;2) push a few buttons (both on the garage door opener and on the remote so leave the ladder in place)as long as you push the right button (the number of times you push it and which button you choose depend on the type of your garage door opener and which button you want to use to control each door) the right number of times you're done.

Great small remote, works slightly different than full size
When riding bikes and walking the dog we prefer to carry a garage remote with us. Instead of robbing from one of our cars, I ordered this remote and have been pleased with how well it works. It is slightly different to use than the car remotes that we bought with our system. With the full size remotes you press them and no matter how quickly you press it only takes a single press and then the door opens right up after your release. With this small remote, it opens after you've held it down for about a second. It really is a minor difference but if you don't realize it, you might think it is broken or not working properly. Just hold it down for a second and there you have it, works every time. Why it's different than the primary remotes is beyond me and is about the only reason I can see for not giving 5 stars. To program the remote, it was slightly more complicated than I had seen before too, but still not any problem, it only takes a few minutes. 1st back the cars out of the garage since you'll need to get to the physical unit in the garage. Then with a small paper clip press into the learn button on the remote until the LED lights up. Now get on your ladder and at the unit press the learn key until the light flickers to say it's in learn mode (you need to have a working light in your garage unit). Now press the button a time or two (took to presses for me), until the light flickers on the unit again. Now DO NOT press that button again or it may unlearn. Press any OTHER button and that takes it out of learn mode and the LED goes off. That's it, simple and it worked first time for me.Since we only have 2 garage doors I programmed both the smaller buttons to open the smaller door. That way it doesn't matter which button we press, it'll work every time as expected. One other thing to note, there is an EV version of this remote that works with ANY of the Chamberlain - Liftmaster garage doors. I found this model for a few bucks less and figured I really didn't need one that would open any door out there, only my doors so why waste the extra money.4 stars, it is working well but does function slightly different than the primary remotes.

Adds value to our Elite.
Moving to our new home, the previous occupants had only one vehicle remote, plus an awkwardly-placed garage control panel. I did not want a keypad unit outside. So we added a further car remote for my car, plus a hall-stand 890 key fob remote. This makes it much more convenient to come in and out.The unit is easy to set up. Follow instructions packaged with the 890. Make sure it’s out of reach of kids, grandkids.Keep the door unit in your sight when closing the door. I would not take the device outside, you could lose it or have it taken from yo.IPS I was not happy to see a similar unit posted by Amazon but $20 cheaper. I’m not thrilled by that!
