Metra70-8590 Radio Wiring Harness for BMW 90-02 Power/4 Speaker

I used this harness to connect a Pioneer DEH-X6800BT to a 1993 BMW 325is E36. The BLUE wire of the Metra was labeled remote antenna. After making all color-to-color splices, Only the Metra BLUE and the Pioneer BLUE-WHITE wires remained. My radio test resulted in no sound from tuner or CD. After I spliced those two remaining wires, I had good sound. Maybe Metra or Pioneer should address this in their instructions.

Worked great for my 95M3. As others said, hook up the blue to blue/white to make sure the stock amp is happy.

The quality is good and it attaches to the OEM harness easily. Biggest drawback is that it does not have all the OEM wire slots filled. It has the speakers and powers - no problem there. But I needed the one for the Canbus and that was missing. I ended up buying another, removing a pin/wire from it, and then inserting into the one I originally bought so I could attach into the Canbus without cutting into my harness.

Wired and connected up to aftermarket receiver harness without any issues. The only problem I had was the harness didnt come with radio adapter for bmw. But ordered separately to complete install.

Junk clip arrived wires were not clipped fully in Plastic was melted

Product worked as described. This was used to install a Kenwood KDC-BT555U stereo into a 1997 BMW 328is coupe. The connector matched perfectly and all wires were color coded exactly to the wires for the Kenwood stereo we purchased with one exception. After all other matching wires are connected, the solid blue wire has to be connected to the blue wire with white stripe in order for the stock speakers to work. All other wires color match exactly.

Fit my 1995 BMW 530i Touring. Makes installation of an after market stereo so much easier and if you want to reverse it all you have to do is unplug it and you're back to stock.
