Fun schlock
I really enjoyed this one. It's obviously schlock, but the gore, effects and body horror were better than expected, and the tone was light enough to keep things moving. There were a couple choices that seemed a little hokey even considering budget constraints and tone, but the movie moved fast, and it had the guts to commit to multiple jokes/scenes that I think would cross the line for most movies like this.

There were a few good chuckles here.
I was pleasantly surprised.Overall this is low budget trash. There is over the top gore and violence along with needless nudity. Men's junk get mutilated and transformed. Women are mauled or converted into flesh and soul hungry beasts. The cast does a good job of being rather unlikable. The story grabs at a lot of the low hanging fruit of the Cthulhu mythos. I'm not sure the story writers were really fans, its a lot more like someone heard an H.P. Lovecraft fan geeking over the stories and asked enough questions to make a script to poke fun at what they learned.Keep kids away, this film has plenty of sex acts and nudity. There is only one character that wants sex to be meaningful and lets just say things couldn't have gone much worse for him.The film is very low budget and looks it. The story is fairly weak. The dialog could use a lot of refinement.

slocky fun
Wow have not seen one this bad since "Attack of the killer Tomato's" bad script, bad acting, bad effects ( the book was pretty good though). Never the less good clean low budget fun. I can hear Howard Lovecraft screaming out from his grave.....

So bad, it's good...
Gratuitous nudity, obviously fake gore, incoherent plot, bad acting, and even worse dialogue. It's hilarious how bad this movie is. Those who rate this movie one-star probably don't realize that BAD is exactly what the director/writer was going for. In this, it succeeds. If you watch the movie expecting all of this, embracing it for the campy mess that it is, you won't be disappointed.

A cheese-fest HPL fans will love
The monsters are charmingly hokey and the gore effects are definitely not state of the art, but a strong story and some surprisingly good performances make this a B-movie worth watching. Lovecraft fans will appreciate the many Easter eggs scattered throughout. In fact, a Spot-the-HPL-reference drinking game might be in order. Beware, as the title suggests, this is a sexploitation movie, so bare bosoms and crude language abound.

Lovecraft is rolling over in his grave!!!
Why must every H.P. Lovecraft spinoff that's NOT a video game or a comic book be such a horrible P.O.S. Lovecraft's writings had a dark eerie feel to them, and the best anyone can come up with to pay homage to one of the greatest horror writers of all times is a god awful B grade film that always portrays his writings as campy and pornographic.Lovecraft's ideology about gods, the heavens, and man; about Cthulu and Cthugha, the god of water and the god of fire, it was all extremely well thought out. And then some idiots with a bit of cash trying to legally pay and get paid for sex make a soft porn and throw HP Lovecraft's name on it... This movie should be illegal... Only a prepubescent boy would find entertainment value in this... I don't even want to call it a movie, that's how bad it is.

Actually Quite Good
This is a film generally set in the context of Lovecraft's Cthulhu works. It has the designated bride, the worshippers hoping to bring Cthulhu back, the professor hoping to stop him, and a dweeb who gets caught up in the middle.OK, it is clear the budget was a bit low. Still, you have action, beheadings, blood, and assorted mayhem to keep you satisfied. So, if you like Lovecraftian horror, you may find this film more to your liking than you expect! I certainly did.

great indie comedy/horror fair
I liked how quality this was given most movies in the indie, comedy, horror or well indie genre as a whole are poorly shot for the most part this was fairly professionally shot i really liked how the cthulhu mythos was tapped in this film there are not many spoofs, nods or send ups out there in the genre so i really like this highly recommend this for campy, chessie, horror genre fans.

Excellent Low Budget Fare
Wow, this flick was pretty cool. Very well done. If you check out the extras, you will see that it was created by a couple of really young fellows. These guys will have great careers in the business for sure. The actors were also amazing. If this flick had a budget of 6 figures, it would have been epic. Hollyw**d beware, indie horror movies are kicking your backside!!

A big thank you to Canada Post for jamming this Blu-ray into a tiny mailbox! My advice to Amazon would be to deal with any delivery service other than Canada Post. It’s a great quirky movie and I’m sure the product was great before Canada Post decided to walk all over it!
