Bose AE2 Audio Headphones (White) (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I have used many different styles of headphones over the years. I travel a lot for work, by bus, boat, train, and plane...so I use headphones a lot. These are the most comfortable headphones I have ever owned. Once you get them adjusted you will probably forget that you are wearing them. The sound quality is excellent, both for music and movies. They fold somewhat flat for easy portability (this only makes them slightly more portable but I guess it is something). There is an included bag to store them in, which is kind of nice to keep the cord, which is about 4 feet long, from getting tangled. The only complaint I have about these headphones is the cord itself, it is thin. I do not know if this will affect its durability, but if my past experiences tell me anything I am going to say it will. It is the flimsiest tiniest cord I have ever seem attached to any good quality headphone. It reminds me of the cords you might find on the cheap 5 dollar ear buds that come with mp3 players.I have not had these long enough to know if the cord will fail but if it does I will be sure to update my review on how long it lasted.Overall these are great headphones, excellent sound quality, very comfortable, and available in either black or white. However, Bose really dropped the ball with the stupid cord they used.One final note, these are not noise cancelling headphones (which I have never had any luck with anyway) but they still do a good job at reducing outside noise.If you want something more portable and you prefer ear buds I highly recommend  JBuds J4 Rugged Metal In-Ear Earbuds Style Headphones with Travel Case (Gun Metal) .**Update**I accidentally discovered (by stepping on the cord) that the flimsy little cord they use on these headphones is actually connected to the headset by a plug just like you plug into your ipod or computer. I didn't realize I had my foot on the cord and went to stand up, ripped the cord out of the headphones and first thought I just ruined them. Turns out all I did was unplug the headset from the cord, plugged it back in and everything was as good as new. Even though the cord is stupidly thin and flimsy I'm updating these to 5 stars just because of this one incident. Any other set of headphones would have been ruined.

I bought these headphones a few weeks into my second year of college, to help myself focus when faced with noisy roommates or busy surroundings. I've been very pleased with them ever since.At first they didn't seem as comfortable as I had hoped, especially when wearing hats (which I did very often), but all it took was some trial and error of what position and setting fit best. Once you find the right adjustment for your head, they are comfortable and stay put on your head with little movement. The padding is nice and soft, so they stay comfortable for long periods of time - although you still might find yourself needing to take them off every once in a while (but no more than once an hour or so), just to give your ears a break.The sound quality is great in my opinion - I'm not an Audiophile, but it's a major improvement over earbuds and on-ear headphones. I can hear more details in my music than ever before. Some people bash Bose for having bad quality, but unless you're a complete Audiophile, these will be more than high enough quality.They muffle external sound pretty well too. I take these with me whenever I go anywhere to study, because it helps block out noise while allowing you to listen to music clearly. The great thing about this is that I don't have to turn up my music super loud to hear it, so it helps me focus better in two different ways.These headphones have also vastly improved the quality of my travels. I've used them in cars (not while driving though, because they muffle external sound), buses, trains and airplanes, and in each situation they have still allowed me to hear my music loud and clear without being overwhelmed by the sounds surrounding me. The only problem is that they are large and fit over your ears, so sleeping becomes sort of difficult. You can lay your head back, but leaning to either side makes them uncomfortable.The cord is nice and long, and is detachable at the ear. I found this out the frightening way when I tried to stand up and part of the cord was stuck under my chair, so the cable got yanked out of the headphones. This was an intentional design though, and it plugs right back in. This is good because it means they will detach before ever breaking. It won't come loose from day to day use though, as it fits snugly. Sometimes the cable seems too long - if you're wearing them plugged into an iPod in your pocket or something, there will be an excess amount of cable. The length, however, is useful if you're plugging them into a computer or electronic piano or something, because you don't have to worry about sitting super close to it.Overall, I have no complaints about these headphones and would definitely recommend them. They are somewhat highly priced, but well worth it in my opinion.

The advert was false & and incorrect the headphone was used second-hand, not new. Disappointed as this was meant as a Christmas gift.

Bought this as previous headphones never seem to last more than a few months, no matter how careful I am with them. These arent too big and clunky looking. And they are so comfortable and soft that you dont even notice you have them on. As for the sound, well I cant fault it. The sound is crystal clear. You can literally feel the music. I have other Bose products and I wouldnt want to buy from any other make. I cant fault these headphones at all, and it was just what I was looking for.

Il confort e l'eleganza di queste cuffie sono garanzia Bose.Le utilizzo quando Viaggio in aereo per guardare un bel film sull'iPad o ascoltare musica. La qualità del suono è ottima, i materiali altamente cercati, i cuscinetti aderiscono perfettamente alle orecchie senza stancarle, il cerchietto è morbido e l'insonorizzazione è molto buona. Per il momento ho acquistato queste cuffie e do 4 stelle in prospettiva di comprarmi le Quietconfort 15 che ne meritano 5 e che sono tutta un altra categoria di cuffie, non a caso costano poco più del doppio di queste.Per il resto se si vuole avere un paio di cuffie di gamma medio alta queste sono perfette.

Nice and light and and comfortable to wear with good sound quality. Would recommend as a cheaper alternative to Dr Dray headphones.
