Great For New Readers
I bought this book for my son whose in the 2nd grade. He was very intrigued by Helen Keller just from our conversations about people with disabilities and impairments. But the book added a much more in depth perception for him, with a perfect comprehensive level for a 2nd grader and up.

Perfect for my ESL student
My student is an adult, and reads at about a fifth grade level. It's hard to find material that is both age-appropriate and accessible for an adult working on ESL. This book is great for her -- in one chapter, maybe ten or fifteen words need to be looked up and practiced. The story is so much better for an adult learner than fairy tales or other books for kids.

Great read
Wonderful quick history of a remarkable woman. Perfect for my 10 year old granddaughter. I would recommend it highly to other tweens.

Great read
Helen Keller's story inspired me as a young girl. I am so glad I can now share this story with my son. My son is in fourth grade, but if your child reads very well this book could definitely be read by younger readers. This story is also a great way to teach children about accepting others, as well as overcoming the various limitations that life puts on us.

Helen Keller
Good read easy to read. I read this 40 years ago and now my granddaughter is enjoying it. Some books are enjoyed generation to generations.

My daughter's first "chapter book"
This was my 9 year old daughter's first kindle book as well as her first chapter book. My daughter has dyslexia and it was amazing to be able to adjust the font to something comfortable for her. The story itself is incredibly inspiring, seeing the hurdles a young girl overcame in order to read. This was a perfect match for my daughter as she has her own hurdles to learn to read. There is a braille alphabet chart at the end and my daughter wrote her weekly spelling words in braille. Excellent. Inspiring.

worst of of 5
bought 5 different Helen Keller biographies for kids and read them all. This one was the worst of the 5.It was Choppy and not very engaging. Written more like a collection of a bunch of random facts than a story. It had a couple of cute specific stories but not a great biography. For grades K-2nd I recommend "who was Helen Keller" written by Gare Thompson (part of the penguin workshop publishing group set of biographies) was the best.Or grades 3-7 I recommend Helen Keller by Libby Romero. Part of the DK Life stories series.

Great book to use in school!
I used this book with my first graders. I showed it using the Kindle app on my whiteboard and I read the story while the children followed and looked at the pictures. We read the whole book in two sittings (with a Braille activity in between) and they were really interested and focussed the whole time. They thought Helen Keller was an amazing person! The pictures in the book are beautiful and the text is easy to read but not too simple. The children learned many new words as we read the story. Most of the children want to read the book themselves at home, so I might have quite a queue of people waiting to borrow tablets!

H.A.R.P - Cute Story- 4 Years After Purchasing
A cute little tale used to help reading. The story is about one of my heroines, Helen Keller. - Antony Morris

Just right account of the story of Helen Keller. ...
Just right account of the story of Helen Keller. I bought this for a younger person to accompany the film. The book is age-appropriate whereas the film could be a bit unsettling for a younger person.
