product arrived safely and beautifully packaged with a handwritten note and candy from seller. very nice. love the product so far works as wxpected nothing to complain of a very ingenious idea for calligraphy ink and even watercolors.

I use it for water media mainly. Compact enough to pack and go

It is not an ink stone it is a plastic container.

子供の書初め用に購入しました。商品説明には、プラスチック製と書いてあったので、軽いと思っていたのですが意外な重さがあります。でも、これならば普通の硯と違って、持ち上げられるので、筆から墨汁が垂れて失敗・・・という事が無いと思います。

I don't know how to use it? I assumed there would be some form of grinding stone included? Don't get me wrong, It is a beautiful item to look at, but That is all I can do...admire it until some one clues me #in on how to use it?

黒より白が良いです。白はそのままだと小キズに墨が入り、洗っても取れなくなりますが、無塗装に施工可能な自動車用のガラス系コーティング剤を施工することにより、陶器とまではいかなくても汚れが落ちやすくなりピカピカな状態を保てます。３回くらい重ね塗りをすることでいい感じになりオススメです。

普通の硯より便利！筆も置けるし転がりにくい。もう少し小さくても良かったなーと思ったけど、子供が使うならこの大きさで良かった！
