Very quick delivery, not had chance to use yet. only slight issue, instead of receiving six different grades of compound (black, brown, green, blue, white and red, I actually got no red compound and two brown. Not a disaster, not worth returning the whole pack. Apologies, on closer inspection, the correct grades of compound have been delivered, the red and the brown are extremely close in colour

These blocks feel and look like blocks of hard wax. There is nothing about softening them with heat in the instructions to make application possible. I bought them in the hope of ameliorating an unsightly ding and scratch on my stainless steel watch. What I ended up doing was rubbing the damaged bit directly with the blocks followed by buffing with a soft jewellers cloth. After some elbow grease the damage started to disappear. I tried the different colours in different combinations and ended-up with a nice finish. I'm not an expert and did go carefully so as not to change the contour of the surface I was working on. The end result was lovely, almost invisible. From this perspective I would recommend.

This is a very versatile sample selection of six different stropping compounds suitable for buffing and polishing a variety of metals and finishes (see description on product page and pictures below). I’ve used the Green, White and Red so far (on leather strops and buffing wheels) for different knife projects and am very pleased with the product and the results. Do note that these are small samples. If you could imagine cutting the end off a Mars bar then that probably equates roughly to the size of each of these pieces of compound. Fantastic product, and as advertised.However as its sample pieces they are quite small and hard to hold onto,The buffing wheel pulls them out of my hand on the bench grinder.I'd recommend buying one of the big blue bars, it's the one I used most.
