Great Price for Large Tree
I was expecting a tree much smaller. It has great size and it's in very good health. The bonsai pot is the perfect size for the tree and unique in style. I bought two other trees from Brussel's Bonsai and they also arrived in great condition. The next time I need a bonsai I'll be coming back to this company.

Beautiful, healthy plant
The bonsai arrived safely boxed and in perfect condition. It is simply beautiful. The canopy is dense and the leaves are a rich green. I spray it every day and water it every other day. It does like that bright sunny place by the windows there. I'm very happy with this bonsai in our home.

Bought as a gift and couldn't be more pleased
This was a gift for a friend who suffered a loss so it had to be right. I shopped and shopped, on Amazon and elsewhere, looking for a reputable seller who took care when shipping live plants. I settled on Brussels' Bonsai and crossed my fingers. The photo attached was sent to me by the recipient. We're both beyond pleased. It arrived evenly moist, healthy and with every leaf intact. Just beautiful. The planter is of good size and quality. The undertray and rocks were purchased separately from the same company and are of equal quality. I'm looking forward to ordering more traditional bonsai from them for myself as well as knocking out at least half of my Christmas shopping with them. Bonsai from Brussels will be my go-to gift from here on out. This plant, the tray with rocks as well as a decent size container of bonsai fertilizer cost $10-20 less than a mediocre flower delivery. I honestly couldn't be more pleased.

Scam do not purchase
I attempted to replace my granddaughter Bonzi tree (middle) which I had given to her as a gift. I had overwatered it and it died of root rot. It was also a spruce which do not do well indoors. I purchased the one on the left, which was much larger, but within the 8-10” range when measured from the dirt up. I was so pleased with it health, if not it’s size, that I order the one on the right, which was 4-5”above the 8-10” that I ordered. Though health, it was higher and did not meet the description of the tree it claimed to be. The foliage began at the bottom, not the top, and the other two trees, if that was the intent, appeared to branch out from the same tree. We’re it intended to be three separate trees, they would be standing side by side and again, the foliage would be at the top of the tree, not the bottom. I email the company for a refund or exchange. They advertise a full refund for any reason within the first 30 days, but they refused to refund or replace it, stating only that it was just healthier and I should be pleased. I was not and called Amazon, explained the issue and they refunded me for both trees immediately. Since then, the tree on the left lost all of it leaves because the top had been sniped off, likely because it too exceeded the ten inches, and likely died of shock, assuming it is a tree at all. Now they are selling the ‘super health’ model (right) for 2-3 times the price of the one I purchased. Had these trees been planted and been growing for as long as they claimed, it might have been taller, with bends in the tree (left) but it would not be a tall “pre bonzi” tree, which means you get to wire it up yourself and over time, it will form the twists and turns, forcing it to slow it’s grow considerably. This did not happen for the one on the right, and I suspect the left might have been a naturally occurring bend. I gave them the benefit of doubt until I saw the snipped tree. Now 2 prior customers described similar events but I bet on the law of averages and assumed it was an anomaly. It was not. There should be a class action suit brought against them. We’re I not 70, I just might have devoted myself to that, but there more important things in life and I lack the time to deal with it, though I hope Amazon acts on it as it was a “Amazon Recommendation” which has seldom failed me. I assume it is because it is also what I appeared to want. But not always, so there’s that. I look to consistency of bad reviews and the stars given to the best bang for the buck, or it’s equivalent. I have been with Amazon almost from it’s beginning in order, initially to deal with not delivered USPS packages, and stayed because the pricing is usually as good if not better, as I compare prices regularly and I have stayed because of the service, and reliability of delivery, though I am guessing that Amazon has run amuck of political issues itself. (Sigh). What isn’t these days. We have bigger fish to fry.

Make sure you have liquid fertilizer ready, or ready to repot!
The soil is comes with will run out of nutrients quickly, leading me to believe it is old soil. I didn't realize this until it started losing leaves after a month, and completely wilted at month 2. I purchased the small Umbrella with the ceramic pot. The pot is very nice, and the tree was in great shape and even had numerous new buds and growth in the first month. It is at the point of being the maximum size for the pot, and I was not prepared for the fertilizer needs or repotting to a larger container...or trimming the roots and adding fresh soil. Most of the complaints I'm reading are probably the same issue, but blame it on the plant and not the nature of the bonsai. I've always used fresh soil before, and never had a plant old enough to need constant fertilizer. I just assumed the soil would be fresher than it was.So with that caveat in mind, you will be successful. I had it in partial light all day and it was fine for a month. I am repotting it now and have it under grow lights to see if I can recover it. The trunk still has life, and there are still some viable roots... *fingers crossed*

Amazing plant
This is probably the best looking bonsai tree I have ever bought. It had a lot of limbs on it. I trimmed it down some, and now it looks amazing. I would recommend labeling the top of the box to prevent the plant from being placed on its side during delivery.

Frustrating plant.
Beautiful plant when I took it out of the package and only been like a month and already starting to die. And I water it like every few days as recommended in the instructions.
