Notorious Glitch
Apparently there's a well known glitch in the game the designers, 505, couldn't be bothered to create a patch or solution for...I didn't know about it until I got to it and couldn't proceed any further in the game.Researched it, and am annoyed the game is still sold anywhere. You get to the 3rd mission, where there's an elevator you must go in to proceed further in the game, and the game tells you it is still loading, when it isn't... you're stuck. Some ppl have had luck with unloading and reloading or buying it a 2nd time, etc.But not everyone.Update:I decided to just run around fighting the spawning guys for fun before throwing this game cause I couldn't proceed... after hours of BSing around and trying the elevator over and over... the system did something I've never had it do... it shut my system off... when I restarted and signed back in I was able to use the elevator.I can play the game now!And it is a pretty good game. :)

Enjoy Alan Wake then you might like this
If you enjoy games like Alan Wake, Quantum Break and even the old Max Payne Games, you will probably enjoy this game. With that said, there are a few issues you should be aware of. The framerate can dip down pretty low at times. I found this to be true when pausing and unpausing the game or when there is alot happening on the screen. Also the game crashed on me once or twice.Graphics: 7/10Nothing to write home about. Games like Spider-Man or God of War look better..facial annimations can be a tad off at times. It looks like some kind of slant jaw that's going on.Gameplay: 8/10The environments and detail to the office spaces are great. Most things can be destroyed. Walls and support beams in most cases breakway and can be thrown at enemies. There are a handful of weapons at your disposal to use and upgrade. Also you have the ability to gain powers and upgrade those. Side missions do exist and are mostly interesting.Sound:9/10There isn't a ton of game music in the game but when it does play like during enemy engagements, it brings the combat to life. Voice audio is well done and is believable. Doesn't sound cheap or cheezy. Items being destroyed sound like they should. Overall the audio def pulls you into the game.Fun Factor: 9/10. Listen, the game is down right fun. There is something satisfying about taking a piece of a wall or pillar and throwing it like a baseball towards a group of enemies. The only downside I can say is I wish there was more enemy variety. Also the level design and or vertically can be a bit confusing at times on trying to figure out where to go. Aside from that, you can complete the game in about 15-20 hours depending on how much you explore and the side missions you do. Also, there are hidden areas in the game which are a cool add on. If you enjoy the games I mentioned above, definitely give this one a try.

So far I'm loving the game I like how the way everything is setup I'm the beginning and the powers are pretty badass this game is almost like Quantum Break but with a different setting and tone

An X-Files movie directed by David Lynch
This game took me by surprise, came out of nowhere and it's an early contender for GOTY. A bureaucratic government agency has been corrupted by aliens from another dimension, and now you're the new director. There's a weird janitor, corridors that transform as you move through them, a trans-dimensional motel, a creepy puppet show, and lots of callbacks to Alan Wake. And it just gets weirder from there. At it's heart the game is a sci-fi shooter, but the storytelling and voice acting are top-notch. Much of the story you uncover yourself, via files scattered around or film projectors. There are some clever puzzles to solve, and a range of weapons you can upgrade. Most of the time, however, you're be grabbing anything you can find -- chairs, forklifts, chunks of concrete -- and flinging it at enemies as you float around the room.On Xbox One X I never encountered any performance issues, although it lagged a bit when coming out of the pause menu and the map takes a while to load. Remedy has already released one performance patch, so hopefully some of the issues for base-model consoles will be addressed. Some of the boss fights can be nasty, so be prepared for some frustrating retries. All in all a great experience if you want a well-crafted story and some truly innovative environments with solid combat mechanics. The whole game can be completed in about 20 hours, but you'll probably want to play it again.

Cool game but it has several bugs
There are stages that for whatever reason don't work. If you do something out of sequence, things will be missing that keep you from progressing. I had to play the game 3+ times from the start because I couldn't progress due to missing scenarios.

Remedy at its finest. Buy this game!
This game is Remedy at its finest. The story is science fiction based, focusing on the fictional Federal Bureau of Control. Cut scenes and in-game collectables deliver the story elements in an entertaining way. The gameplay is third-person shooting, but augmented by really fun telekinetic powers. The player earns points toward character customization by completing objectives, which can be used to increase health, energy, or the strength of the various powers, allowing the player to tailor Jesse (the main character) to their play style.I found the story very engaging, with the combat insanely fun - there's nothing more satisfying than psychically grabbing a rocket that's been launched at you and throwing it back at the enemy that fired it at you.If you like Remedy's previous work (Max Payne, Alan Wake, Quantum Break), you'll really enjoy Control. If you've never played a Remedy game before, this is a perfect introduction to their work.Buy this game. You will not be disappointed.
