Excellent camera
I recently got one of these along with a SRT 202 to add to my camera collection. It has many good features. Earlier versions had mirror lock up , but it was omitted form later SRT 102's. Shutter speeds range form 1 sec-1/1000 and B. It has a self timer-a feature not found on many cameras in the 70s. It has a standard hot shoe that accepts many brands and models of flashes. Flash sync speed is 1/60, common at the time, but rather slow by today's standards. This model takes the 1.3 volt mercury battery which is no longer available today. However, there are options for powering the meter-you can read about them on the internet. Or you can just shoot without the meter. The shutter is mechanical and does not need batteries to operate. Batteries only power the meter. The meter is a match needle that's hard to see in low light. One thing I don't like is the meter on/off/batt check switch is on the bottom. If a tripod mount is mounted, it can get in the way of the switch. 2 nice features is you can see the f stop and shutter speed selected in the viewfinder. Build quality is solid and rewinding film is smooth. You can mount Minolta SR, MC, and MD lenses. However, with pre MC lenses you have to do stop down metering. Nowadays most of these Minolta manual focus lenses can be bought at low prices.
