The background is White - but this is adorable.
I gave this 4 stars because it is white , a very white background. I put in front of a cabinet and told my husband he can't stand on it. When he asked what good is it and why did I buy it, I told him the photo doesn't look pure white.Its a bit small but so adorable I may have to buy a matching one. wish it was as the photo shows and a foot bigger.

Amazing color
My only criticism is that it's on the small side. It could be larger as far as bath mats/rugs are concerned. If there were larger ones it would be possible to complete a very fun look. On the positive, the colors are great and it works well. I bought it for my son and he loves it. Great for the price!

Bought two. Cute but small
This is a cute little mat, has a sort of a velvety feel and the colours are nice, but they are too small to be used as entryway mats. It is just a little bigger than a place mat. I uploaded a pic with it on my table so you can have an idea of the size. I'll probably use it by the bedroom doors and l may buy another for the 3rd bedroom.
