Not quite as described
The description states suitable for 21mm -36mm tube brolly, but it only just fits a 36mm tube with maximum pressure on the adjustment. It would not tighten sufficiently to fit my 21mm brolly tube.The actual hole in the stand is 60mm diameter with a gripping mechanism that screws tight.The principle of a lightweight base unit that can be filled with water or sand is good though.My previous stand was cast iron with cement in the base and this one filled with water is much more stable..So if you have a 36mm diameter tube on your brolly it will be fine but not for 21mm.

Not enough to stop spinning
The tightening mechanism isn't good enough to stop the umbrella from spinning in the wind. If you have a circular one it's probably fine, but not if you have a rectangular one where rotation may result in it hitting things.
