Insten Li-Ion Replacement Battery for Sandisk Sansa e200 Series

The replacement battery got here fast and works great all for a great price! When I first tried to charge it up and use it, it didn't seem to be taking a charge and I was ready to send it back after looking it over and comparing it to the old battery, it didn't look like it was making contact so I cleaned up the contact points and inserted a small strip of cardboard under the battery pushing it up a bit more against the contact points and all is well. It hold a great charge all the time!

First, the company, Eforcity, served me well; they delivered the product promptly, and when the product would not work, they accepted the return and refunded my purchase price and shipping. I have purchased from them before, and I would not hesitate to do so again. The low rating is NOT for the company but for the product.The battery: I purchased two batteries for our two Sansa e280s. I have a version 1 and a version 2; the installation was fine, but neither battery in neither player would charge or work.I called another vendor from a nationally recognized brand; the sales rep indicated that some companies embed a chip in the battery that must be there to communicate with the player. I don't know if that is the situation here, but I was unable to get these batteries to work with my players. I cleaned terminals; I exchanged batteries; I used both the wall and computer chargers, but none of these procedures worked with these batteries.I've ordered another battery to see if I just happened to receive a faulty product. If I learn anything, I will amend this review.

Couldn't get battery to work in my E250. Would not charge. Found out that the battery is a tad too short and battery contacts were not making contact with the player. I cut a 1/4 inch wide piece of cereal boxtop the length of the battery and inserted it between the battery and the case and it fixed the problem. Used the cardboard to just add a bit of length to the battery. I read reviews for other batterys that had the same problem

Batteries fit perfectly and hold a charge well. Note that you might need to add a small (cardboard) shim to get the battery to fit tight enough so the contacts on the battery firmly fit against the device contacts. I believe this is a device and not a battery issue. I have 2 sansa mp3 players. One device required a shim, the other did not. The same thing happened when I replaced the batteries a few years ago.

The battery itself was fine and I couldn't be happier with the price. However, it was slightly loose in my MP3 and would lose connection when I exercised and the player would stop. The fix consisted of putting pieces of electrical tape on the front, back and lower edge to give it a tighter fit. Now I'm happy.

Original battery began fading in its ability to hold a charge after a year & a half. Looked at original equipment replacements but had a hard time finding it. Saw this & given its price, decided to give it a try. Seems to be working as well as the original, about 16-17 hours of battery life.

I was afraid I was going to have to replace my e200 series Sansa MP3 player with one of the newer ones, which have fewer features at a higher price. The unit wasn't charging properly and I was having trouble turning it on and off. As a last-ditch effort to save it I got this battery to replace the old one, and I'm happy to say the unit is working perfectly again. Shipping was quick, too.

Battery fit Sansa E250-- seems to work as well as OEM battery. Customer service for the battery's manufacture was terrible. Had a question about the product, called the manufacturer and was blown off, passed around, and finally told that they couldn't find the battery I was calling about (even though I gave them the part number, the order number, and the model number of the device, they told me there was no way for them to help me. This was the manufacturer not AMAZON.

It arrived within 7days.It fits the unit.The only issue I have with it is the difference in the depth of contact leads (from edge to brass leads) and it is more than the origina and causes connection issues.

The battery did not work initially. I was about to send it back; until I read that I needed to insert a shim so the contact was secure. Then the battery worked fine, hence the ** rating. But really, If a shim is needed to make this cheap product work, then sens a shim and directions with the battery and charge a bit more.

Works as it should. No problems.
