Q: Which works better on sooty brick, the paste or the liquid?

You have to dilute it no mater which you use, past or liquid. I prefer the liquid as it blends better when diluting it. It is a concentrate.

Q: Will it work to remove soot from the bricks on the front of the fireplace?

no but Spray Nine will and works awesome on the glass too

Q: Will this product clean the grease off a finished wood table?

What I would use the paste it dose a better job. It will take off the grease but if it is deep in the wood you may have to sand it.

Q: Is it ok for dishwashers

From their website: "To clean out the inside of the dishwasher add 1 tablespoon of QB paste or liquid to bottom of washer basin. Run on the hottest cycle with no dishes. Repeat 2-3 times to completely clean out the inside of dishwasher. DISHES – Add 1 teaspoon of QB paste or liquid to each load of dishes (instead of your regular soap) Wash normally. QB will clean your dishes and rinse clean."
