Remington Smooth & Silky Facial Epilator, EP1050CDN

I just received this and reading some of the not so good reviews I was a little skeptical at first. But I actually this this is a great little product. I have PCOS which means I have super thick long facial hair (more than even some others with PCOS) so I decided to start epilating my facial hair. Epilating will hurt NO MATTER WHAT BRAND you buy because you are literally pulling hair from its root. But this Remington felt fine and it hurt even a little less for me. I managed to pull out all the hairs and I'm super happy about the price!

I have been using this for 3 weeks now. I have used many other hair removal treatments including laser hair removal. The laser permanently removed about half of the hair but the remaining half kept growing back. When one system quit being effective I would switch to another. Most recently I have been waxing. This caused a lot of irritation and I would get breakouts. I got this unit because the waxing became ineffective and I found myself plucking out the hair that the wax wouldn't remove. The first time I used this I hadn't waxed in some time so it was painful. Now I do regular use every other day and I love it! It takes some getting use to when it comes to the angle you need to be at for it to work. Everyone's hair grows differently in all parts of your face. I have to go against the hair growth and use no pressure. Plucks everything right out! Yes it stings but I have no skin trauma or rashes anymore. This is a great unit for the money and I will but it again and again!

I have struggled with facial hair due to PCOS. My routine prior to using this product would be about an hour long plucking session with tweezers twice a week on my neck, upper lip, and sideburn region. During each session, I would literally have over 100 black, coarse hairs to remove. Nair and other similar creams adversely reacted to my skin often burnig it and leaving painful rashes. This instrument has been a life saver for me!!!! I still have to use it twice a week, but it takes 5-10 minutes instead of an hour. My skin stays red for about 20-30 minutes after using it, but it isn't anymore painful than plucking with a single pair of tweezers. As per the instructions, I find it works best after thoroughly washing and exfoliating the face (which helps to expose the tips of the hairs). Afterwards, I apply aloe as a cooling agent and moisturizer. I usually use this product after showering, before bed, giving my skin plenty of time to recouperate before applying makeup or going in public. I highly recommend giving this product a try!!!

I have been using an epilator for over 30 ears on my legs. While the devices have improved greatly, none are comfortable for use on the face. This one is. It takes patience and some pain tolerance but it will hurt less and less as you use it more frequently. Holding it at the proper angle and moving in slow circles is key. It will take several uses to remove the soft facial hair completely . . Also, despite claims to the contrary ,you will have to use an epilator more often than every 6 weeks!! I recommend once a week at the beginning. I have to epilate at minimum every two weeks. But by far the best method of hair removal for legs and with this facial hair as well. if you decide to try an epilator on your legs, I highly recommend that can be used dry as well as in the shower. It is not as painful.

I am nearing 40 and as I am getting older, I have noticed an increase in annoying facial hair. I pluck, have used wax strips and hair removal creams, but they are messy and can be painful. While this handy device is not painless, it is super easy to use and really does help the problem. I have found that after almost a month of use, my facial hair grows back at a very impressive slow rate. I have only had to use it two or three times in the month - the first time and then two touch ups. And the time between touch-ups has increased and the amount of hair I have had to remove each time has decreased. I have developed a method that seems to help a bit with the pain too. I found my upper lip to be the most painful, so I save it for last. I do around my eyebrows, a bit on my chin, and then tackle my upper lip. Seems to help prepare me and it doesn't hurt as much I guess. Fact is, the thing is ripping multiple hairs out at a time, but the pain is no worse than tweezing and a lot less than waxing, and the minimizing of the hair removal project over time is a huge bonus. I am glad I make the purchase!

I was a little apprehensive about trying one of these because of the "discomfort" they cause, but beyond the pain it simply doesn't work. I still have tons of hairs left on my face and neck, and many that appear to be missing were actually broken off instead of plucked out...I could immediately feel a bunch of stubble. Furthermore, a day after I used it, I realized my neck was breaking out - I don't usually have sensitive skin when it comes to waxing/tweezing/shaving so I was really surprised. The pic attached is 3 days after using it and you can see that it's getting worse instead of better and there's still a bunch of hair. Invest in a good lighted magnifying mirror and some good tweezers and avoid this thing.

This product has changed my life.I have PCOS with acute Hirsutism. I have fairly thick facial hair on and under my chin. I have lived with this embarrassing issue all my adult life. I used the Remington EP1050 Smooth and Silky Battery Operated Facial Tweezer System on my face for about 10 mins with a few breaks in between. I was able to remove most of the stubborn hair with minimal to no pain! What!! I had to examine the hair to see if it was being pulled out of the root or just cut. It was pulled right from the root. Unbelievable! The fact that I could remove most of the hair with little to no pain is amazing. I highly recommend this product.This is my first review on Amazon. I chose to write this review after just one use of this product. Time will tell if the product will last long with regular use.

I tried the product a couple of times and it is easy to use. It works to remove some hair off my face but not 100% of them. The finest hairs are still on my face, around the lips. But overall for the price it worth it. I do not feel pain when I use this product, just a few stitches. I do not recommend spending it often on the same spot on your face. It is also good to moisturize your face afterwards, as it exfoliates your skin. The product is noisy and works with ordinary batteries.

After spending quite a while trying to get all of the hair off my face I realize that it is leaving quite a bit behind and I continue to have to go over it to try to catch those hairs. There’s some that I can go over many times and it just won’t catch them. It does catch some of it and pulls the hair out at the route I was quite impressed with that to begin with it’s not very painful. But I don’t want to spend forever trying to get all the hair off of my face and never succeed.

There is a small warning on the box that says “Warning: Cancer or Reproductive harm.” This should have been indicated on the product description as well on Amazon.

Worked as described. Took 2 days to completely do my face as I wanted too see if anynirtitation occurred. Since I usually was my face I found this less painful and certainly less messy. It also only took about 5 minutes. So far I love this device, will make facial hair remover so much easier.
