It works for the reason I got it for!
I got this as a small slicer for packages and letters. While the side is pretty dull, I actually don't mind that since it can slice the tape of a package if you poke a hole into the tape first. The tip is sharp enough to do that easily. I also like that it is dull since I don't need to worry too much about accidentally cutting into the package. I tend to order a lot of soft/plush things and some come in very compacted packaging. So this allows me a bit more control and less worry about accidentally damaging the soft object inside.

Not good for slaying enemies, unless they are envelopes
As long as your enemy is an envelope - you can vanquish them. Can also be used by small remote control robots for sword play. Not sure if it’s good to arm the robots. Just don’t sharpen the letter opener and you should be fine. Do not, I repeat- do not give miniature swords to squirrels. Bad things happen.

okay, good as letter opener; stand and decor: left some to be desired
Seems fun, arrived okay though the box was beat up. The stand was very cheap, I had to sand and trim all the extra plastic bits off - as it is I would recommend more weight underneath so that it stands up better and isn't so easily tipped over. The stand's design is good, sword sits into the stand well, the stand is just poor quality (just plastic). Sword's handle wrap is basically a sticker (that was not well put on), the sheath is okay and actually weighted a little so the sword doesn't move much. Isn't so flexible for me and makes it difficult to put the sword back in, but I did paint it because the recipient didn't want yellow after all. As a letter opener it's been doing alright, but the 'blade' is scratched easily and I am still a little worried that it will break one day - so far it's done well, so it may just be that I'm overly concerned due to how light the sword was. Fun if you want a samurai sword for a gift.

Junk !
This item was absolute junk, would have given a 0 star if I could have. This item looks like it came from the dollar store. I can't believe they are allowed to sell items like this.

Given as gift. Very well liked

Cheaply made.
The blade is metal and will open a letter. The detail on the handle is a sticker!!

This item is a great center piece to have.
Well made can cut paper envelope no problem.

Disappointed. Was expecting yellow from pic. Not worth sending back.
I was disappointed that it wasn’t yellow. It was black. Was getting it for a little girl. Can’t expect much for cost I guess. Could have been a better stocking stuffer.

cute but small
purchased this sword for a child to cut the cake at a karate themed bday party but the sword is too small even for a childs hand. its around the size of a standard pencil
