Marie Sharp's Hot Habanero Pepper Sauce, 5 oz

Not too hot. Great flavor!

Marie Sharp's is on every table in Belize and if you've tried it, you know why. Hand's down my favorite hot sauce, and I've tried many. This 6 pack deal was too good to pass up.

I was at a restaurant in Mount Dora, and I asked for hot sauce for my clam chowder. They gave me this, and HOLY WOW- I fell in love! I took a photo of the bottle and came home, looked it up on here, found it and ordered it straight away!!!It's really got a good bit of heat; it isn't insanely hot- I'd say maybe 6-7 out of 10? It's the kind of hot sauce that you'll definitely feel pretty quick, and the heat sticks for a bit if you use a lot- but it isn't the type of hot sauce that is going to ruin your tongue for the day, you know what I mean??So many sauces just have heat but no flavor, all vinegar- but this one has some personality to it! I'd recommend it on most any dish that you want to give a kick to.

The sauce gives plenty of heat without changing the taste of the food.

I really enjoy this. Be aware the last bottle I ordered came broken.There is no returns on this item. I have sence ordered another bottle.

This hot sauce is amazing! You can see and taste the actual chunks of pepper throughout with a wonderful, intense flavor and just the right amount of heat if you like it hot! It's not runny and watery like Tabasco or vinegar tasting like Frank's. It's much more concentrated and of higher viscosity. It only takes a few drops to get flavor as opposed to dousing the food like you do with the mainstream stuff! The heat is sharp with no aftertaste and will not numb your tongue. The flavor is bold and nuanced with hints of spice that's perfectly matched to refried beans. I consider myself a bit of a hot sauce snob, having traveled extensively in Central America and this has been by far my favorite, I'm on my 5th bottle!

Bottles arrived with some funky looking green stuff near where the plastic is. I ended up washing them off and the sauce was still good though.

I first ran across this hot sauce 34 years ago while honeymooning in Belize. It immediately became my favorite. Marie Sharpe's hot sauce has a mix of flavors--not just heat. Unlike many of the US type of sauces, Marie Sharpe's doesn't have that fermented flavor. It tastes fresh. That's from its unique combination of habanero, key lime, and carrot juice base. It comes in varying heat levels, and while they are all good, the fiery is my favorite.

We first used Marie Sharp hot sauce while travelling in Central America and loved it so much we ordered it by Amazon so we would have some when we got home from our travels.
