Great Fountain
I'm curious if they've updated their packaging since some other reviewers got their fountains, because mine came in a solid 2-piece molded styrofoam container with a special slot for the back cover and box for the motor. It's large and I think the UPS guys struggled to deliver it without a dolly so it took a couple of trips for them to do it - but it's large because it's properly padded & solidly built. The instructions were a little grammatically off but incredibly simple regardless. It took me all of 5 minutes to "assemble" (you screw on the motor to a tube, fill it, plug it in - it's not rocket surgery). The pump motor had a ground plug but note the LED lights do not - it recommends you only use it with a GFCI outlet (your outdoor outlet probably is, a random house plug wouldn't be). Overall it feels more like an outdoor product design, light splashing does occur, I'd certainly never recommend you put this on hardwood. It makes a nice waterfall sound - audible but not too loud. I sit right next to it on a patio and you could easily hold a conversation over it - but it's also not silent or gentle up close. I noticed that it did need to be properly leveled, if it tips to one side or forward too much the water doesn't cling to the sides in a wide stream but plunk unceremoniously into the pool. It also takes 5 minutes or so to warm up before it streams evenly. It did have some paint smell initially but that faded quickly outside. I think it looks reasonably realistic, even up close, lots of nice small details in the mold. It's decently thick too, would hold up to hail I bet. The black sponges that diffuse the water at the top and mid-tier look precariously glued, it might not last but some additional epoxy would solve that if needed.Overall very happy with it.

Looks and works perfectly
So far it's working very well and the pump is strong. This is the second wooden log theme fountain I've purchased from this company and I'm completely satisfied.

Excellent
The media could not be loaded. Love this water feature! It’s taller than most which is the first plus, easy to set up, and adds just the right amount of sound to our garden. We had an empty spot by our patio that really was just missing something and this was it. I read people had trouble priming it, but we did not have that issue. The light feature is nice at night, but could be a little brighter. It’s fairly realistic looking. The price is great and we’ve been happy with it so far. Only had it a few weeks, so hopefully it will have a long life.

Very nice looking fountain and a good value.
As someone else posted the instructions are a bit dodgy but easy enough to intuit. I would take "trickle" out of the description though - this thing does not trickle on any pump setting (which frankly has not much affect on the output from minimum to maximum). It does flow nicely. I'm going to work on a bypass to actually be able to adjust down to a trickle at some point.I would like to see another foam filter on the return hole though, that would make cleaning it much easier. We have our fountain on the patio under a tree (yes a tree stump next to a tree...) and it get debris down into the "tank".I've found a wire brush works best for clearing the filters/foam. Cleaning the inside is tricky with all the contours (stay on top of the algicide, if you're using it outdoors). The little feet on the pump like to come off and stay stuck to the bottom, so that's a bit of fishing fun.Overall very satisfied with it and will be even more so when I get it to actually "trickle".

My Second Alpine - Fantastic!
The media could not be loaded. This is my second Alpine fountain. I've had the other one for about 10 years with no issues. You have to keep the pump clean and I did move it to the shed for our brutal winters. This fountain is very realistic looking and the attention to detail is amazing. It's not too loud, but you can make it louder by putting a little rock at the top to break up the waterfall you just have to make sure it's not causing it to splash outside of the fountain. I've never had a loud pump and I suggest not using the suction cups to suction it to the bottom of the inside. That causes noise just put it in and don't push down on the suction cups. Problem solved.Alpine is getting a little pricey, but you can't beat their quality. I love it. My video is with the pump on maximum. There was no reason to turn it down. No splashing no leaking.I hope the video helps someone. I made it longer because when I was looking the four second videos were frustrating to me. Enjoy!

beautiful, easy to get going, incredible value
so easy to plug in, fill up and get going. it's lightweight and easy to maneuver (before filling with water, of course). I was looking for the tallest, most exotic looking fountain I could find that was in my price range. I saw some beautiful tall ones (50-60 inches) buy they were all over $1k. this one is tall enough and exotic looking. it has hard foam in each level that I presume is to keep leaves or debris from going down to the motor - this is awesome. my only tiny disappointment with this filter protection is that it keeps the water from making that plunging, clapping sound I enjoy with my other fountain. the water sounds like it's rushing, but more like a stream than little splashing waterfalls. also, i felt like the color tone is darker, not a lot of variation or depth in the color like in the photos. but overall I am so happy with this purchase, 10 times over. I laid some plastic plants from Michael's on it to add a pop of color. I'm a happy patio potato now :)
