As a larger man, I was in need of a fuller umbrella. I was tired of having a portion of my body wet due to an inadequate umbrella lacking coverage for my 6"4 285 pound frame. So I ordered this and so far it has been superb. I have used it in high wind just the other day and it was a complete non factor (the wind) against the umbrella. Now, I have not had it too long, so take my rating of durability accordingly. I usually write these reviews following a satisfactory period of time, but in this case I opted to go ahead and submit my review. This is just a very good buy for a very good umbrella.

Used it recently in a Public Witnessing Campaign in Downtown Dallas. Would recommend it. My wife mentioned she could tell the difference using it out in the sun for a couple of hours. We haven't used it in the rain yet but if its good for the sun it will be good for the rain.Umbrellas comes with its own cover and its able to cover up to two persons.

It is nice and large. I don't own a car and am in NYC often. I ride a bike but do take the bus on bad days. This is LARGE. Large enough that my upper body can be kept dry. I haven't been exposed to high winds -yet, but I'm sure it will hold up. Unlike those cheap, tiny, fold up ones. Unlike the ones you get in NYC for 5 bucks when it is raining, this will last.

I live in Florida where the rain and wind is a daily summer thing. I purchased this umbrella to replace a $100 that has had better days. This is worth every penny. Well made, sturdy and large. Anyone that says this umbrella is not well made is completely wrong.

UPDATE: After my initial review this company contacted me and sent me a NEW umbrella at no charge to me. The customer service was GREAT!I bought this umbrella for work because I am a crossing guard for an elementary school. When this umbrella arrived I was so excited by the huge size of it. I was definately staying dry this year! Well, here in CA we don't get a ton of rain, but when we do this umbrella was going to be great. That being said. The third time I used it the plastic on the umbrella handle that locks the umbrella closed when finished BROKE. Now my umbrella will not stay closed and I can not be driving around with such a HUGE umbrella opened in the back of my car. Super bummed.

This umbrella has been perfect for a sun shade and keeps you dry as well. I bought this to protect my new baby from the sun at an outdoor event since he's too little for sunscreen, it worked perfectly and I've used it many times since for sun protection and in the rain.

So I will tell you the good and the bad about this umbrella. First the good… It is huge. If you were tired of small umbrellas they don’t cover you from the rain, this is a good umbrella for a light shower. Now the bad, I have had this for a year that really just used it six times or so. I walked to work and was caught in a rainstorm on the way home. The wind blew and broke one of the joints inside the umbrella. It is still semi Dash functional, but disappointing that it already broke so quickly. The most frustrating part is that I have emailed the company and posted a question on Amazon and all I heard were crickets. The company has yet to respond after 30 days, which is disappointing when purchasing an umbrella with a lifetime guarantee. If you don’t think it will be windy we need an umbrella, this one might work for you. Otherwise, I’d suggest shopping elsewhere.

This umbrella has a satin looking sheen to it. It's a beautiful color and works well. I like the fact that the underside is a grey color that gives more protection from the sun. I used this in the West Virginia Teacher's strike due to the fact that everything we had was red. It was great and a very good size for two or three of us to keep dry. I would recommend this if you are looking for a large umbrella. It opens easily and comes with a sleeve to put it in. It also has a great handle that's easy to grip.

The umbrella folds very neatly and nicely. Water rolls off the materials easily, and it is really strong, not flimsy at all. I used this as a mini tent when having a picnic beside the beach. It can fit 2 small sized persons cramped inside, but when using it while walking in the rain, it can easily cover 3-4 people close to you

Large, sturdy and well made umbrella. Used for last 3 weeks and looks like it will hold up well. It is large so if you want a 'standard size' go smaller than the 62 inch.

Good quality umbrella. 1 less star as umbrella cover straps were not sewn well and could withstand the weight of the umbrella and broke off when it was carried around just for a few times.

Very solid. Well made. Very happy with my purchase.
