Awesome equipment for video interviews!
This thing is awesome, we are using it for an old Nikon d5100. The only issue is with my camera itself. Utilizing an old camera as we do with this mount, we are unable to use some of the auto focus functions for the gimbal, not a fault of the equipment and we’ve seen work around bud we haven’t really worried about it to much. This things is also pretty heavy so if you are looking for an arm workout, you’ll get one.Super simple and easy to use, if you’re on the fence about getting it this is your confirmation that you should!

Game changer for videographers! Easy to balance!
I am a wedding videographer and have been desperate to find a way to help create steady footage with more motion. I tried many different manual stabilizers ranging from $60 to $300 and didn't have luck with any of them. I spent hours trying to figure out how to balance them and even once I did, I still wasn't happy with the performance. But the Ronin S is a game changer! Here are a few things I love about it:-Easy to balance. I mostly switch back and forth between a 24mm and 50mm lens and it only takes about a minute to do so.-Helps create movement for a more cinematic video. I love being able to push-in on a wedding venue to add an almost drone-esque effect.-It really isn't that heavy. I am a young woman with almost no upper body strength and I'm able to use it for the majority of a 10-hour job without getting sore or tired. For reference I am using a Canon 90D with the 24mm or 50mm lens.If you're looking for a way to bring your footage to the next level, this may be it!!

Amateur videographer and it works like a charm
As an amateur videographer, I have no idea what half of these reviewers are talking about when it comes to this device. To me, it works flawlessly. It was pretty easy for me to set up. I just followed the directions in the booklet that comes with it, I didn't even have to watch a video. You set up each axis (after you attach your camera) and away it goes. You don't technically have to install the software to use this, but I'd go ahead and recommend it. It made things a lot easier to calibrate.I put a Canon 5d Mark IV on mine but I don't see why you couldn't install any DSLR on it. You are going to be limited to what kind of lens you can put with your camera. You can't go TOO large on it as it will just out weight the motors. But it seems to be handling what I have with ease.As far as walking around with it I haven't had any issues. I think its funny watching some of the professional reviewers on here fighting with this device as I'm a complete noob and figured it out. Not trying to toot my horn or anything, just seems funny to me. Anyway, I think you will like it. I sucked at using a glidecam and could never quite get smooth footage with it. With this gimbal I got nice footage day 1. Have fun!

Changed My Videos Forever
Where do I even begin? I bought a Glidecam knockoff when I started video because everyone said that steadycams were better than gimbals because they are more reliable. I also bought it since it was only like $150. Weeeeeellllll after spending countless hours with the thing, I was still never able to get smooth shots with it.Fast forward to me actually making a career out of video and being in scenarios where I NEED smooth shots. I did an incredible amount of research and decided on the Ronin S.It took a very small amount of time to learn how to use it well. There are countless videos describing settings and different shots you can get with it.The Ronin S is quick to balance, easy to use, has a very long battery life, and has a very solid quality build. This purchase has improved my videos drastically and is well worth the money if you use it to make money.

Great gimbal but some minor issues that could be improved
i have been using it for 2 months now with a lumix G9, works great but i have some cons:- To charge the gimbal battery you need to assemble it, after a long day of shooting you get home and you have to assemble it charge the battery and then disassembly again for storage ( i like the fact that charges with USB type C really fast charge)- The case that comes with the gimbal is really low quality it seems that the joint will break after opening the case 100 times- Finally i now this is the SC version is supposed to be designed for mirrorless small cameras if you have a long lens you wont be able to calibrate the gimbal, for example i cannot use the Lumix G9 with a rokinon 35mm 1.4 plus a F to M4/3 adapter because you cant move the camera backwards enough to compensate the front weight from the long lens.If you have small lenses and a small and light camera this is a good choice, but if you use big lenses or you use adapters or a speed booster go for the Ronin S

This doesn't stabiize well
I could always just be ignorant, but I had the previous version and this one does not stabilizer nearly as well. Half of my footage looks shaky. I ended up using IBIS in my camera and taking it off the stabilizer.

Best Gimbal I've Used
I've used the Ronin M, Pilotfly H2, Crane, etc and this is the best one I have used. The setup was simple. The app is easy to use. The battery lasts all day. The Pilotfly had a terrible app and the user interface was so difficult. The DJI app is simple and lets you do exactly what you need to do. The battery doesn't last as long as the Crane or Pilotfly but it gives you a percentage so at least you know when you need to charge. Balancing took me less than five minutes and I was using it less than 20 minutes out of the box.I haven't used it much but from what I see it's the most user friendly gimbal there is.

Big disappointment
I researched gimbals a year ago, and this looked like a really good one, so I bought it. Description said it worked on Android, and still does. Sadly I was not able to set it up until today. I followed a YouTube video, and balancing was easy. When I got to the Ronin Assistant app to fine tune it, the app could not connect to the gimbal. I read the reviews on the app, and people had been having the same problem for at least 2 years. The gimbal is completely unusable. DJI is no help. I would love to have my money back so I can buy a gimbal from another source. FYI - I use Bluetooth 6 on Android 12. MY Bluetooth sees RONIN_SC-0SC566 on its list of connections.

Perfeito
