2-Pack Nutri-Cal for Cats High Calorie Dietary Supplement, 4.25-Ounce Tube

My little cat absolutely loves Nutri-Cal. It has lots of vitamins and minerals and is also high calorie, a plus for an elderly feline.

Most of us have picky fur babies. My cat is no exception. To make sure she had a better chance of accepting the new supplement, I mixed it in with her wet food. Worked like a charm! I find it's easier and less messy to use a toothpick to remove the portion from the tube.

I had a previous pack of this product and my cat accepted it twice but with not much of a enthusiasm.I thought is a temporary problem and I ordered another pack.Unfortunately before finishing first pack my cat refused to come even close to this food and got into hiding when he looked at the tube.So,Just have to return the delivery in its unopened original package. 75% acceptance rate? I was really worried about giving this to my elderly cat who is not eating because I've seen some owners say that their cat refused to eat it. I've been desperately trying to find something she'll eat and pick back up her appetite and I can thankfully say she has been accepting it so well. She will only eat it off a finger though, she will not eat it off a plate or the tube. She likes it so much that I have to cut her off because she's a wee little kitty and I'm afraid of overfeeding her it. She is very slowly picking at her food again and I have been faithfully feeding her it, without any problem. She also seems to be more alert after feeding her it, which I am pleasantly surprised at. The only complaint and disappointment I have is, I wish the adult formula had taurine in it because it's supposed to supplement your cat's diet when they aren't eating. Without it, I feel it's a bit misleading.To all the cat moms and dads out there that are in a similar position, I'd recommend giving this a try.

My older cat was losing weight so I got this vitamin gel. It's smells like cod liver oil and is the consistency of molasses and the color is like molasses. My cat won't tolerate me sticking this in her mouth so I put it on her paw after chasing her thru the house and pinning her down gently to rub it on her paw. My cat hates me now and can sense I'm coming and runs away. I have to go a few days not using it and catch her off guard. If it's mixed in her food she won't eat the food. I know it's beneficial for her but it's a real pain trying to get her to take it. Oh also when it's on their paw they try to fling it off so be careful cause it's super sticky and hard to wipe up if it gets on walls or floor.

Our elderly cat needed to gain and keep weight on. She had lost some of her teeth. We mixed this into her pate' style food morning and evening. She liked the taste and was able to chew and swallow this type of feeding. She made it to 23 years before passing this January 2024.
