Burgundy Rubber Tree Plant - Ficus - an Old Favorite - 6" Pot

When I purchased this plant 3 or 4 years ago I didn't have any experience with rubber trees. I received a small, healthy tree under a foot tall and after a few days repotted it into a 6 or 8" pot on a plant shelf in our Zone 9 SW facing window with filtered light & mostly closed blinds. It flourished!To encourage side branching I trim new growth from the top & often repot cuttings to plant in other parts of our house as anchors for little plant groupings.It's currently in a 3' high pot in front of a SE facing frosted glass door and receives several hours of filtered morning light. It's growth has slowed with the reduction of light but it's happy & healthy and brings me pleasure whenever I see it.

I would definitely re order.. it looks like I have two plants in one!! I am going to let it sit a while before repotting. There were a few leaves that fell from the plant upon unpacking but, it arrived packaged really well.. overall, I am happy with my purchase!! Thank you!

I assumed the plant would look like the plant in the picture. The plant that arrived is fine. I will not be returning it. But I am sad and disappointed because I purchased it specifically for the dark burgundy color shown in the pictures - and it is definitely green . Sadly this plant is totally green. The leaves are scratched and not shiny like in the picture. But I will love it and give it a good home. It is very healthy and was definitely packed with lots of care. It is a good size and I am sure in a few years with attentive care this will be a nice plant. But it will be green.

Very pricey for a small plant. They are healthy when they arrived, does not come with the pot. Disappointed.
