I was looking for a visual speaking book with comprehensive information since I needed draws and new tools to improve my oral presentations. This book is direct, easy to read, funny and it includes lots of tricks, even for people with no illustration background. Thanks to the author now I'm able to communicate also non-verbally. I found this book really interesting above all for the synthesis and information inside.Author's approach is really good to explain in few words and through simple designs each page making the the reading faster and not heavy.Recommended for everyone you don't need specific skills to understand the main topics and increase your knowledge.

I’m not a professional illustrator not even a beginner one. However, I’ve always felt fascination about the visual speaking. It’s simple: when I hear a speech and at the same time I see those words translated into images, the message is kept in my memory for more time than when I only hear it. The same happens when I try to explain something in my daily journey. It’s easier to draw what I’m saying in order to reach the “audience” (in my case, co-workers, friends or relatives). It's also useful doing the same process to get my own ideas more clear or to make a roadmap for my personal plans.I didn’t know I was making visual speaking or visual maps. And then I found this book by Dario. Dario has delightfully mastered these techniques and now provides a guide that is the better example of what he is explaining in the book: brief tips that get straight to the point using clever drawings.Dario also provides further comments to better understand the reasons why nowadays human beings are comfortable with visualization and how to apply certain “rules” to their drawing process.As commented, I’m not a professional illustrator and I'm not expecting to become one but I find quite useful drawing what you think or seeing the message through images for better visualization and memorize concepts.In my opinion this guide could be useful for those people with the same needs than me and also for those people who want to begin a path in visual speaking on a professional way, as the author says: like a boss!

Interesting reading and an helpful tool. This book is full of tips and tricks to improve your capability to explain yourself, it's incredible how a few, very quick sketch are easier to understand than any written brief. If you have a job that requires some communication skill you shoukd definitelly try it.
