I bought this box set specifically for the book on raised bed gardening, but having all of the others in the set is actually fantastic! It's given me a really good overview of the whole process and what's available to me with gardening.I particularly found the raised bed gardening book really helpful. This is a great book if you want to get started on raised bed gardening, and get it right the first time! It is a very practical book that will walk you though every step of the process. Whether you're dealing with a new site, or if you're re-working a current one, it gives all the information you will need. I found the concept of 'Lasagna' gardening and structuring the layers to be particularly helpful for me specifically. It also breaks down some plants that are great to start with, how to use them, and why they're so good.This is a great and practical set that has gotten me started on my gardening journey. If you're keen to get into gardening and want a very comprehensive outline of the whole process, then I highly recommend this entire set!

I plant a garden every year but always wanted to learn more about every aspect of it so when I had the chance to get this set of books, I jumped at the opportunity. These books are an incredible asset for anyone who is interested in gardening. I love how it shows you everything about raised garden beds, what plants compliment your garden, everything! This is the best set of books on gardening I've come across yet! I've learned a ton of helpful information!I did receive this product at a promotional price for my honest, unbiased review and all opinions expressed are my own.

I rated this compilation of beginner gardening books 3.5 stars. I'd rate the Companion Planting book 4 stars because it had a useful chart showing companion/foe plants. All the books had a decent amount of useful information. The drawback was a complete lack of drawings, illustrations, and pictures that would allow beginners to visualize what the author is trying to convey.

I Purchased this book for my father who's an extensive gardener and crop grower, he was amazed at how much information this Box set brings its tells you what you need for planting all sorts of vegetables..Me personally i like growing tomatoes and i even learned a couple new things from this box set!This box set also teaches you how to grow all types of flowers! i have already planted some. it even teaches you about the dirt and how if you see earthworms then its a good sign.i amazed at how much info went into this book! 5 stars from me.

Not worth spending money on. At best a cursory overview of raised bed gardening. Really a pamphlet and not a book - so short it's a joke!

This is a great box set for anyone starting to garden. Having just moved to a new house where we are happy to finally be able to garden this set has given us lots to work with. I especially like the Raised Bed Gardening for Beginners as this is something my wife is very excited about. Lots of hints and tips that city folk like us don't necessarily know and are thankful for. Plus, 5 books for the price of 1. You can't beat that.

I am a novice gardener and chose this set of books thinking it would be a helpful, comprehensive guide to growing things. I was also under the impression that it was actually a SET of books, not some little thing slightly larger than a pamphlet supposedly containing five books within it. This is a THIN booklet containing poorly written, short, unorganized paragraphs about random things related to gardening. There are NO pictures, which would be extremely helpful when the author was describing (I use that word loosely) different gardening tools, containers, plants, and methods of planting. There are numerous grammatical errors and tons of repitition, especially considering its size. I bought it mainly because of the amazing reviews, but am extremely disappointed. Also, the design and layout of the book look like it was done in Microsoft Paint by a middle school student. I would not recommend this book and I believe all of the five-star reviews are made up.

good basic read. The problem is it is to regional. As a master gardener in Az. I run into this problem a lot. When giving dates about planting if I followed this book nothing would grow. Look into you county extension for local information.

I have not read the book yet, but I was very disappointed with what I received. I was expecting a collection of 5 lovely color illustrated books as shown when you click on the image of the book here on Amazon. What I received is a single small 1\4 inch thick black and white (except for cover) book that includes the 5 "books" that are each about 30 pages long, for a total of 150 pages! Maybe this "5-book" volume has useful contents but I would have liked to know what I was actually buying for the price!
