I discovered these earplugs over a decade ago whilst working on-site in a weaving factory. I have bought them ever since: I use them whilst grinding, cutting, drilling or even sleeping. Very comfortable and extremely effective. It si vital, of course, that you insert them properly. I have seen so many people use earplugs badly. Roll each one properly and insert it fully into your ear canal, following the direction of its twisting passage. Then wiggle it gently as the earplug expands. The only other earplugs I found which match these are French wax earplugs. There is a confidence knack to being able to hold a converstaion whilst wearing earplugs, but you definitely can hold a conversation whilst wearing these, whether in a factory or in a small workshop.
