Q: Can I opt to get heavier stacks? If so how much more weight can be added?

Depending on where you purchase from, you can upgrade your weight stack (+50 lbs) with the SP50 (http://www.bodysolid.com/Home/SP50/50lb__Selectorized_Weight_Stack_Upgrade)

Q: What attachments come with this?

It only comes with the hand attachments for the pressing and pulling exercises. And honestly the only other attachment you my need to purchase is a single or duel rope attachment for triceps and ab exercises. I also find an adjustable bench extremely helpful.

Q: are the handles wide enough apart to get a good stretch doing cable crossovers?

Yes. Largely because you can step forward and the handles adjust 1-4".

Q: What is the weight stack to user ratio?

pretty sure he's asking how much weight you are actually pulling vs. what the stack says. I.e. 2:1 100lbs would actually be 50lbs of work done by the lifter.
