Sometime ago I had been reading about Glycine that it helps with sleep. I had been struggling with broken sleep and some nights no sleep. I was so excited so I immediately ordered from Amazon for fast delivery. I mentioned it to my husband about it and he was so happy for me. I started taking the 1000 mgr. and I slept so well. After 3 nights I did not feel I needed that large dose so I switched to 500 mgr. and that was just right. for me. Since it was working for me my husband has started taking it . In his case he had to go up the larger dose and he is happy to take this product with no bad side effects. We are so glad to have found Glycine working for us. We have tried couple brands and found them ok. I am familiar with Source Natural so I will stick with it. If you sleep issues I would try this but check with your doctor if you have health issues.

My husband suffers with anxiety, due to low levels of glycine. This is a supplement he takes every day & if he knows he's going to have a particularly stressful day, he doubles up. It is a non-essential amino acid that helps with building collagen. Like most things, the ability of the body to manufacture it declines with age. I am older and have used this off and on for years to help avoid stiffness after activities that use body parts I don't normally use. I started using glycine twice daily as an experiment to see if it would add flexibility to the inner ear and possibly impact hearing. It has made a difference for me. After much research, I purchased this amino acid as a sleep aid. (I didn't want to take melatonin.) I had read about it causing a little dry mouth in some people.I definitely seemed to have a deeper and more restful sleep when I take this with dinner. However, I wake up with 'dry mouth' several times a night. So, I had to start using a 'dry mouth rinse' for that.If you don't mind the dry mouth thing, it's a good open to assist with a deeper sleep. I'd give it a higher rating if it wasn't for the dry mouth side-effect.

Since using this in my daily vitamin & minerals I've lost 90 lbs and still going. Not sure if its just this as I also use several other essential nutrients but just happy I'm losing the weight.
