I purchased to replace a snap fastener that pulled apart on a new pair of pants I ordered online. It was a breeze. I use the supplied punching tool to better seat fasteners on new and older garments, ensuring that they will not come apart. Well worth the price of the product. Buy once, and this kit will last for many years of use.

These snaps are not made for thicker leather. Also these are not heavy duty snaps so I had a hard time for them to stay snapped. Ended up having to buy more heavy duty ones for my costume.

They are a bit difficult to use and somewhat weak. Wish it came with instructions as well. They will work for the costume i'm building but I will not be using them on anything that needs to hold stuff.

I used the snaps to make carrying straps for wooden wine bottle carriers at my craft studio. The snaps can barely support the weight of the wood carrier itself, nevermind if the carrier actually has two bottles of wine in it. I've now wasted a ridiculous amount of leather. Do not buy these snaps if you need them to bear any weight whatsoever.

Haven't had a chance to use this kit yet, but came as described. For me, snap I installation is pretty basic and something I understand from previous experience. My husband was hoping for some instructions though and didn't find any.

Use for dog collars. Work great. Like the selection of colors
