BISSELL PowerForce Helix Turbo Bagless Vacuum Cleaner (new version of 1701), 2190

Light weight and very forceful. Good purchase!

I bought this to augment my old Bissell powerforce helix turbo, which was a great vacuum cleaner that I used for many years. In fact the old one still works great, but I wanted a second one for another house I own.When I got it home and put it together, and then started to take a closer look, I couldn't believe my eyes.My old vacuum cleaner has a pre-motor filter with three parts -- a pleated ring HEPA filter, surrounded by a ring of foam, then a ring of denser foam. Then it has a post-motor filter that's a curved pleated HEPA. In more than ten years of use, I've never had to clean the post-motor filter on my old Bissell. It looks brand new. Which tells you the pre-motor filter is really doing its job.The new vacuum cleaner doesn't have any of this. The pre-motor filter is nothing but a round pad of foam about 3/4 inch thick. That's it. The post motor filter is just a thin disc of fabric. And both of these items just clip in. There are none of the rubber seals that keep my old Bissell airtight. Obviously I can't use this vacuum for any serious work at all. It's going to be blowing dust all over the place!This vacuum cleaner has the same name as my old one, but it's not the same product at all. It's nothing but a cheap and flimsy piece of garbage, literally a joke! Obviously I won't be buying any more Bissell products, ever.

I replaced my old Bissell powerforce helix turbo (just died a few months ago) with this newer model, expecting the same quality. I loved my old vacuum. But this thing is CRAP! it feels cheaply made, it has poor brush power and doesn't pick up much.When vacuuming, the brush will often stop spinning if it touches the carpet.When I vacuum around my cats litter box, it kicks litter back at my legs instead of sucking it up.Overall very poor quality.

I bought this vacuum at brick and mortar, for what ever reason I can’t leave a review there. This is a good vacuum to get pet hair up the suction is great , almost as powerful as my old dyson. But that’s where it ends. Its not strongly made like thin plastic, it ltterly feels like it will fall apart . I could deal with that for the price I paid BUT....Everytime I used it I was having to reconnect the hose ...I bought this as a second quick vacuum as I have a central vac ...It’s not quick when the hose comes off several times during a vacuuming.

The belt literally falls off every day. I have replaced it, and the brush roller in hope if it working properly. We have had it less than a year. It worked well for 3 months before this issue. 4 belts and 3 brush rollers. Such a waste. I called Bissell and even though I sent in the warranty card, they said they had no record of it. I have the receipt so they cannot deny my warranty. So, they said I would need to take it to an approved repair place. The nearest one is an hour away. It is a joke. I am just going to get a new vacuum. It is sad that companies are allowed to manufacture plastic trash for the landfill. Not built to last.

After a year of use the brush melted and melted the socket it is in so it cannot be replaced. I called the manufacturer support and they said that I needed to replace the brush every 3-6 months.

I love this vacuum. I've had it for 2 years and it still works great. I don't know if I'm too OCD or not, but cleaning the filter (for me) is a pain. I do this after every vacuuming. I live in an area with a lot of pollen, we have indoor fires, and I have a cat. Maybe that's why my filter gets so filthy after every use? Otherwise, it's awesome!

I wish i would of never retired my dirt devil vacuum that requires a bag for a brand new Bissell power max vacuum. It is the worst purchase i have made in years. I know now never to trust Bissell. It is light weight and looks pretty but that's the only good thing about my bissell. It is noisy an the suction is the worst i have ever owned in my life. I have only owned it for about 3 months when i purchased it I was super excited then i heard it loud an whinny an the suction wasn't the best and now its has already stopped picking up even dog hair on the floor thier is no blockages or anything that i can visibly see anywhere it just quit. Now I have to go repurchase another vacuum that actually works. Completely disappointed with this purchase!

I love this vacuum!! It far surpasses my previous two Dysons and is a fraction of the price.It is light, easy to adjust brush height and so easy to clean. The dirt cylinder is simple to remove and dump, then just wiped out with a damp cloth. No need to replace filters.Could be used in a large house or small cottage.HIGHLY RECOMMEND

May my surprise, My vacuum was delivered 2 days earlier than what it said on the tracking my item site. Thanks t works great. And I have 2 large dogs both with very long fur, and if vacuumed up there hair great. I would definitely I rely recommend this vacuum to all my friends.
