I used to have a Viking. I LOVE this cook top.
I LOVE this new cooktop. I had an issue with the first one they sent...knob stems were crooked...but they sent a new one right out pronto. GREAT customer service from Delaney in the office. She said they would inspect the new one before it went out and, sure enough, there was a note in the box. I packed the old one up in the new box, printed out the return label thru the email they sent me and called up FedEx to come get it. Easy peasy.I love that the knobs are on the side. Helps me get heavy pots of water off with out hitting or having to lift even higher. I am a shorter lady. The burners are responsive. I love the size/ BTU choices and for the money...you can't beat it.There are two kinds of gas cook tops. Closed burners and open burners. Each has their plusses and minuses so plan accordingly. My only upgrade would be an "on" light so I don't leave a burner on by accident. My solution is to turn on the hood light (I also got the Z line stove hood and love it) when I turn on a burner and turn the light off before I turn the burner off.

Worked the first time...
Had this cooktop installed yesterday and tested. The igniter worked the first time I tried albeit a little funny. When I tried to lit one burner by pressing down the knob and turn, all 4 igniter spit out sparks. However, 5 minutes later when I am ready to cook something, all 4 igniter failed. So I called the seller and they are going to send a repairman to my house. Will update the review later.Update:The manufacturer sent a new igniter parts and the unit is working fine now.

Best price and quality hands down
If you're a contractor... I imagine this would be very easy, for homeowners I'd recommend contacting a professional being that gas can be deadly. Great product, I installed it in a weekend with my brother. Including demo and power conversion from the old electric one. Bought this for my mom and she couldn't have been happier.

Well built but poor design
I really wanted to like this cooktop as it looks very heavily built but there are too many design flaws to recommend it. Probably the biggest is that is very difficult to clean. For some reason they put the control knobs way to close together when they could have easily space them out better and made it easier to clean. Also the burners are painted silver over metal so if they get grimy do not try to use an oven cleaner on them as it will eat off the paint. Also the grids are very heavy, get very dirty, and are hard to clean. They also make the pots and pans sit way too high so you lose a lot of heat. Also the big burners are in front so when using them with larger pots and pans it is hard to get access to the smaller burners in the back, which I tend to us more often and would rather they were in the front. There is also no off position indicator so the full on and off position looks the same.

Installation instructions are missing critical detail.
Unfortunately, the installation instructions are pretty worthless. While installing a gas regulator to a cooktop is a pretty straightforward process, the critical missing information is that the gasket for in between cooktop and supplied 90 brass elbow is in the box of parts labeled propane conversion kit. This gasket is required even with natural gas and otherwise the fittings will never seal firmly.

Great product
You might need to adjust the flames for simmering as they were too high
