MTV series following a group of wealthy high school teens from Laguna Beach, California. Their lives are almost too perfect to be real - good looks, houses by the beach, even close relationships with their parents. They shop, plan parties and get brand-new cars wrapped in a bow for graduation. At the centre of Season 1 is the love triangle between good-girl narrator LC, her childhood friend Stephen, and his beautiful but cold girlfriend Kristin, who likes to mention at any opportunity how much she 'hates' LC. Other highlights for the seniors include spring break in Cabo, birthday bashes, one character's embarrassing audition for a Broadway show, and the repetitive mantra: 'Can you believe this is the last time we'll be together like this?' Episodes comprise: 'A Black and White Affair', 'The Bonfire', 'Fast Cars and Fast Women', '18 Candles', 'What Happens in Cabo', 'The Best Part of Breaking Up', 'The Last Dance', 'Grin and Bear It', 'Graduation Day', 'The First To Go' and 'Dunzo'.

not as good as season 2
this is really interesting to watch if you've seen the hills but didnt get round to watching this before hand which was my case.so you get to learn how lauren's life was before she started her whole life at teen vogue etc in the the hills.it does get annoying at times because theyre still only about 17 in this whereas theyre obviously alot older in the hills but as alot of the characters from this pop up in the hills it gives you a better understanding of way they pop up later in the hills and price is good too.

Great cheesy fun - MUST SEE
So i decided to buy the boxset as i hadnt see them all. its great. the LC-Stephen-kirsten love triangle was the focus of this season and all the other people and their story were background to this. My fave is LC nad LO. LO does not get enough air time. there should be a lo show. LC is someone i would like a friend. Extras are quiet good the interviews were good and to see the casting was great. so at the bargin price it is at. u should buy this

buy it for the nice shops,beautiful scenery and lovely houses
I bought this dvd set because I thought it would show nice houses,beaches,beautiful women and so on.I wasn't disappointed.However listening to these high school kids conversing reminds you of just how boring,shallow and generally unpleasant young people can be - particularly young people involved in relationships and love triangles. The bonus features are good and there are lots of interviews and some decent music videos too.My favourite bonus feature is Lauren's giuded tour to her parents' house - the kind of place on top of a hill overlooking the blue pacific ocean that the rest of us can only dream of living in.If you're struggling to pay your mortgage in the gloomy uk you might want to give these rich people a miss.

Good series, but a little drab.
Overall an easily enjoyable tv series, nothing overly taxing on the brain. Perfect for unwinding after a stressful day - there's nothing particularly controversial or complicated to think about!

fantastic laguna beach!
this dvd is fabulous, a real must have ,watch the arguing and fighting to the falling in love and all the trouble it brings.the stephen-kristen-lc love triangle is great to watch,see them both falling for him and arguing about each other.can't wait for laguna beach series 2!!!
