Men's Desert Boots

The iconic desert boots by Clarks, which pack plenty of history whilst being a great stylish option for everyday wear.These are stunning, real leather boots, they smell to die for and the Beeswax colour and the tones of brown are beautiful.They are extremely comfortable and will take you a few days to wear them in.The Crepe sole, will darken and become dirty overtime. However this is a beautiful look as the boots builds character.One flaw, I know these are meant for the desert, but Clarks could design the sole with better grip. After some wear they can become slippy, on smooth wet surfaces. However Clarks want to stay true to the original design, I think here a tweak is needed.However apart from that, they are amazing, I urge you to buy them you won't be disappointed.

This is a Desert Boot. I know, you probably think I’m stating the obvious. By ‘desert’ I don’t mean Coventry in the 80s or Birmingham in the 90s. I get it, not everyone has done a dig in Wadi El Natrun but you still have to consider what makes a pair of shoes suitable for walking on sand. That’s toe room for the sand grain to pile up without causing toe burns and loose heel so your ankle can adapt on every step. Trust me you’ll appreciate these even sat on a desk as your feet swell half way through the day, or on your way back home when for a moment you forget that you’re wearing shoes.

I used my other Clarks shoes as a guide for size, and have found this shoe to be very large. After ordering another pair half a size smaller, I have to say that it still feels a bit too loose, but not too bad.The shoe itself is OK comfy, and pretty good for when it's around 5-10 degrees outside and you would be roasting in your winter shoes.Also, the soil was a bit too slippery in the beginning, to the point where it would be easy to slip on the street after a rain, but I haven't noticed any of this lately, so it must have gotten better somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯They also go nicely with dark-blue or black pants. Mind the size and order away.

I think I'm on my 5th pair and wear them every day, but despite the incredible comfort, I HATE the soles, for the reasons given in the title. On certain surfaces (shopping mall paving for example) in the wet, one can slip and slide with real risk of hitting the deck; on warm dry days, the soles attract all sorts of debris that needs removal.Won't buy much else, but remain peeved!Comfort = 10Soles (on a bad day) =3

ok, so...these are made not in the uk but in vietnam of all places. probably/defininately would not of purchased then had i known this. aside from this, they look and feel pretty cool but are a lil big. not much else to say apart from WE DONT WANT NO VIETNAM SHOE. £$£@ that.

These shoes cannot be the Clark's shoes that older people used to wear to school. The sole mouldings are not naturally aligned but 'warped'. Uncomfortable and poor quality for 60+ quid. Avoid. Nothing like the photo. Sole is much thinner than photo suggests.

I really wanted to like these but the fit is both too big and far too loose around the heel. The result is that I have to go and find insoles and try to do something about the heel area which is like trying to walk in cardboard boxes. From what I understand Clarks are one size bigger than the the size on them. Advice to others, get a whole size smaller than you normally wear, or go and find some nice desert boots not made by Clarks.

I love Clarks for mens shoes generally, I think they are always good value and stylish and these desert boots are no exception. Well priced and delivered one day after order so well done on that front. Looking forward to wearing these out and about :)
