Best homage of white speedy.
I have the panini version of this watch also. The watch divers version is better. Better dial.. band..better look. Love it.

Great Speedy Homage
Great watch for the money. Nice mecaquartz movement and sapphire crystal. The bracelet is top notch too.

This is a quality fun watch

Hairy dial. Not great QC.
There were what I assume to be human hairs glued down underneath the indexes at 10 and 6. The rest of the dial had dust and other particles all over it. I've had good luck with other Watchdives products but whoever makes this model for them needs a much cleaner assembly process.

Excellent Speedy lookalike
It's been tough to take this watch off in the last two weeks I've had it because it's so enjoyable to wear and good to look at. This is an excellent value for money option for those who like the iconic Speedy looks but can't or don't want to justify the expense for the real thing, without coming across like a shameless clone, fake, replica, or whatever else you want to call it. I have detailed my thoughts on the watch below, if you'd like a more detailed review, but the short of it is that this is a fantastic watch that I would highly recommend. It's not perfect but I think the price is more than justified by what you get.First off, there are very few complaints to be had with this watch. I opted for the alpha hands option with the idea that it would be something different that would also give this watch a little bit of its own identity compared to the one it's paying homage to, but this is probably my biggest complaint with it. In less than ideal lighting, it can be hard to read the time as the hands are more silver in person than they appear in the listing pictures, with the only white section being the small area in the middle where the lume is applied. It's still very much usable, but it takes a moment to read the time as opposed to something you can just glance down at quickly. There's also the general complaint with watches using this movement regarding the 24-hour sub-dial, which is basically a useless feature for most people. It would be nice to see something like a 12-hour totalizer instead, but I understand they're limited by the movement so it's not a big deal. The last gripes that could be made for this watch are very minor and have to do with the finishing of two components. First is that the underside of the case is not as smooth as other watches- it's not sharp to the point where it hurts to wear the watch (more on that below) but it just doesn't feel as nice as a higher end watch as there's a noticeable straight edge where the case comes up and no smoothing or chamfering. The bracelet is also nicely finished overall, but the polished sections in the middle of the bracelet have a sharper feel to them. Again, nothing that will hurt you or that you even notice when you're wearing the watch, but certainly an area where you can tell some costs were understandably cut. Those are really the only negatives I have with the watch. Overall, the case finishing is excellent except what was noted above, with the brushed and polished sections both being consistently finished and well-machined. The case has a good curvature to it that also helps to sort of hug the wrist. In the picture it's on my roughly 7" wrist and it fits perfectly in my opinion. The weight is just right too- not too heavy to be uncomfortable, but not so light it feels cheap or flimsy. It's the type of watch you can throw on and go the whole day without remembering it's even there. The aluminum bezel has a nice matte finish to it and the silver numbering around it for the tachymeter scale play in the light in a way that can be a little mesmerizing when rotating the watch in different lighting. The movement is a Seiko VK63, which is great because it's a reliable movement that's well built and should last a long time. The chrono pushers have a very positive snap to them and everything returns to where it should when you stop the movement. Alignment of the hands, dial, and bezel are also spot on, which is not something I can say for the Orient I purchased that was more expensive than this one.The bracelet on this thing is actually fantastic in my opinion, even with what was mentioned above. I've seen some complaints online about it pulling hair or being rattly, but I think it's a wonderful bracelet overall and very comfortable. Solid end links, a very attractive taper down to about 16mm at the milled clasp, and just extremely comfortable to wear. It does have push pins for re-sizing which some would see as a bummer, but it comes with a tool to resize and only takes a few minutes so not a big deal at all. Again, even the Orient I purchased that was cost more than this one had a bracelet with hollow end links and a pressed clasp, and just felt overall much cheaper than this bracelet. My favorite part of the whole watch is probably the crystal, which is not only sapphire but is domed about 1 to 1.5mm above the bezel and adds a lot of depth to the watch when looking at it. The AR coating also seems pretty decent, but nothing to write home about it.Lastly, lume is one of those things I don't really pay too much attention to on a watch, but the lume on this one works pretty well, turning a nice blue color and lasting a respectable length of time. All in all, this watch is, in my opinion, a bargain at this price. I can't think of many other options in this price range that offer this many features on a watch and seem this well-built.
