SAPHIRMédaille d'Or Pommadier Cream 75ml - Suitable for all leather shoes and boots (Neutral 02)

Dear Saphir,I bought you because I just got into Goodyear welted boots or boots that can be resoled in general. I intend on keeping these boots I’ve acquired a few years so I want to keep them in great shape. I used a small amount on the Ottawa’s from Grant Stone and they shined up really nicely. See photos. I always condition any and all boots that I purchase brand new regardless of how new they are because you never know how long the boots you purchase have been sitting on a shelf in the warehouse. The Ottawa’s were sent to me by Grant Stone as a replacement pair due to some loose grain and they said these came to the warehouse in January however, they looked thirsty out of the box so I decided to condition them a bit after wearing them for a day. I typically only try on boots in the house for a day before I decide whether or not to keep them. Only after I’ve decided to keep them do I take the time to condition them.This polish/conditioner from Saphir is truly the best that I’ve used. I had another pair of Ottawa’s before I received these and they shine up CXL really nicely with barely any use. I would use a dauber when applying the conditioner. A little goes a long way. I dabbed the dauber in the cream a tiny bit and I was able to cover an entire panel on the boots. After applying to a haze, I let it sit for 5 minutes and then I polish it off with a horse haired brush until I get a nice sheen on the boots. Then I spray a bit of water mixed with alcohol on the boots with a spray bottle and then I polish with said brush. This way I can buff to a shine at baby time. I have CXL boots they are still shiny after only putting a fine/thin coat of this polish on. All you need to do in between conditioning is brush it with a horse-haired brush and the shine will come back. It’s really amazing. You can get a nice shine on your boots with this and without a wax. Just remember not to use a lot. A gentle dab would be enough to cover 1/2 of your boots that you’re looking to condition with a polish.You can see from my photo that I uploaded that the boots have a sheen to them. That’s right after using this polish. If you use too much you’ll have to do a lot of brushing with a horse-haired brush OR the haze from the polish would not go away. Please do your homework and try it on an a small area first before using it on the entire boot or shoes. This is the best polish/wax that I have ever used for CXL. I use this and Venetian shoe balm on all of my boots. If you have this polish you won’t need the VSB but sometimes I like using the VSB instead sometimes because it’s easier to control because the balm is liquidity.I love how you can use so little of this stuff and it’ll provide you with enough sheen for a few months. It’s the best product to manage your CXL leather. This will not work on nubuck or suede because it would change the texture of those leathers.

This is a fabulous product. I can see why everyone uses Saphir. This cream really does the trick on my leather shoes and hasn't done any color damage at all. The scent is particularly nice! Too bad I can't go around asking people to smell my shoes.

If you really want your shoes to look good, start with this, then use wax polish.
