ASTRO Gaming A40 TR Headset + MixAmp M80 - Black/Olive - Xbox One (Renewed)

I guess I'm lucky, because I haven't had any issues with the renewed headset, like other people have. Over the years we've used a lot of different headsets and there's definitely a price to performance correlation. I got these for my son for his birthday. He wanted a better pair of headphones, than his Turtle Beach ones, which worked fine, but he wanted more functionality. I did some research and found that Astro headsets are supposed to be top of the line in performance. My son was thrilled when he got them. The performance and functionality are much better than he expected. He swears that he'll never buy a headset from another brand ever again. 🤣🤣 Gotta love teenage boys! The MixAmp M80 attaches to your controller, so you have complete control of your audio. You're able to easily adjust the game audio to voice chat that you hear, there are 3 different gaming EQ modes, volume and the microphone mute right there on the MixAmp M80. The sound clarity is exceptional at all frequencies and volume levels. The uni-directional microphone is extremely sensitive. It can focus on your voice and filter out the background noise, so you can actually hear the person you're gaming with. They're lightweight and ergonomically designed for comfort during long gaming sessions and continuous use. The headband is adjustable with a well padded headband, which allows you to get a snug fit without feeling like you have a vice on your head. My son likes the material of the earcups much better than the fake leather ones. These don't make your ears hot when you're gaming for a long time. Overall, this is a well designed headset that's well manufactured with premium quality materials. It's a solid and durable headset that's made to last. You can't go wrong with these.

For starters this is not “Certified retailer” Astro will not back the product issues! Second headset came in great shape but clearly had wiring issues mic would not work. Third mix amp was broke and couldn’t control volume. Lastly the game sound would come through the headset but had a hiss for the duration I had them.Astro customer service did not help either the thought I had of leaving turtle beach was shortly erased after my second expierence from the a50s to a 40s your money is not well spent or in good hands

Came in original Astro box with all the manuals and appropriate cords. Impressed how brand new it looks! Mine came with only a tiny scratch on the mixer but the headphones themselves look never used.Now the actual quality of the audio and mic is very good if not great! Decent bass and very little if any static in chats. I saw some reviews and there was some complaints about chats but my experience has been completely satisfied and impressed at the value. Couldn't recommend more to someone not wanting to break the bank on a brand new good headset. Amazon knocked it out of the ballpark with this.Legitimately the only thing one could complain about with my set is the tiny scratch but that tiny scratch doesn't mean a thing to me with the savings of this deal.

I bought it because my other Astros were showing signs of wear and age, and I needed a new mixamp as well because the sound worked but it never picked up microphone audio. This mixamp has the same problem and I could tell it was damaged in the same way my original mixamp was, out of the box. The wire was also very sticky with an unknown substance. The headset itself was just fine, the mixamp was a bust however.

These really are the best headset under $200 in every way... SOOO COMFY.. AMAZING sound.. PERFECT ADJUSTABILITY. ALOT of metal.. Mind boggling sound especially if you have Dolby and Amazon music.I say rolling dice because of being refurb. They can't test EVERYTHING.First set was great besides the Mixamp not registering the mic. Got replacement fast and this one works great

VERY GOOD HEADSET DONT LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE RATING 1 STAR. This headset isnt only comfortable it has a great mic and amazing sound quality. I can wear this headset all day and still be comfortable... PS my headset looked brand new

i’ve bought 3 different Astro A40 TR Mixamp M80sthe headset works fine, and is not the issuethe issue is the Mixamp M80, i am now 0/3 and am not gonna gamble anymore on these broken amazon 3rd party china stores.Out of all 3 headsets / mixamps i’ve bought, ZERO HAVE WORKED. literally none of them work and im fed up with this bs
