Easy to use and strong material

My order was canceled for some reason. So I never received this order. I bought my original from a kitchen store and liked it a lot. After about 4 years it fell apart.

It broke after a year and a half of infrequent use. I guess that’s longer than a lot of other reviewers have mentioned, but that still sucks.The actual collapsing motion requires a fair amount of force and I think that ultimately caused the flimsy connection between clear plastic & green silicone to fail. I cracked a small spot on the inner basket after like 3 uses but it never caused any issue with operation. But today I literally just picked it up off the drying rack and the bottom detached from the bowl.I really liked this salad spinner because it collapses to a flat state when not in use, which is great for my kitchen with limited storage. It also has a pretty large capacity. The handle for spinning is not the easiest to grip, especially with wet hands.This isn’t worth the steep price, that’s for sure. I think I got it on sale last summer for like $35, which seemed kinda spendy but I splurged on it. Today I winced when I saw the $45 price tag! That’s waaaay too much. Save your $ and buy a different one.

I bought this to replace a large salad spinner that took up too much space, I absolutely love this collapsible spinner. The entire top comes apart easily for thorough cleaning. I've had it for a few months and so far so good. The collapsible construction is very sturdy so it takes a bit of muscle to collapse and expand. I have washed in top rack dishwasher but mostly handwash, so far so good.

Bought this to replace an older version I had (about 12 years old--the pull cord which was the mechanism on the old style broke, the new style is improved). Never had any other issue with the old one, very happy with it.

This collapsible salad spinner is a space saver. It has a diameter of 10.5 inches. When collapsed, the height is 3 inches. Upon expansion, it is 6. The outside bowl is pretty enough to serve on table. It is made with sturdy plastic and the spinner does its work well. I took 1 point off from the Overall Rating because there is no handle. Users need to poke their fingers into the holes located at the top of cover in order to spin. This design is not ergonomically correct and it does not provide the user of a good grip. In general, it is still a good product.

I purchased this salad spinner in August of 2015, and I just today bought another one to replace it. It has held up to weekly salad spinnings (I prep 6 salads at a time for my lunches for the week) as well as being heavily used to clean greens from my garden during the growing season. In other words, it gets used- a lot. I've always hand washed it, and have never had any problems with it. It was really hard to open and close when I first got it, but it did eventually soften up. The downfall was when the top lip of the out bowl cracked when I was drying it. I could probably still use it if I was careful when I opened and closed it, but I have gotten such good use out of it that I'm ready for a new one. I've also given this item as a housewarming gift to friends who live in a tiny house. They still use and love theirs' too. Hopefully the new one won't have issues that were mentioned by other users. Personally I think this is a great item!

This is at least my 3rd of this salad spinner. I keep buying it because it is really great at getting my produce dry. I personally find it even work better then my oxo salad spinner did. However this is my 3rd one because the basket cracks after awhile. I never collapse it because of this which I know defeats the purpose for some. If you are looking for a salad spinner that does a good job at spinning your produce dry I would recommend this. If you are looking for a space saver that you can collapse & save you some cupboard space I wouldn't recommend it because that would shorten it's life even more.

Yes it’s wonderful.

I love how well this removes the water from my freshly washed lettuce and veggies. It is rather large so the fact that it folds up is very handy but it does still take up a large amount of counter or cupboard space The difference is that you can stack other things on top of it!

I really love this spinner, it is large enough to hold a whole head of Romaine, has a bowl attractive enough to serve from and a spinner to remove water. It will get lots of use in my kitchen and I am able to pass along some bowls, this one does it all.

I just love this salad spinner...
