Brilliant product, works very well to bring down TA when used with a SWG pool and aeration. I will not use anything else as other products are either not muriatic acid/hydrochloric acid and affect the pool in an undesired way or are of inferior quality.

Although the instructions for quantities are for large pools its simple enough to work out the correct dosage to add for a hot tub/spa knowing the capacity of your hot tub/spa. I had struggled with the alkalinity balance using the suggested pH down method but then had to pH up again once total alkalinity had balanced seemed a waste of chemicals. This stuff works. I added small doses over 24 hours and the total alkalinity went from very high to perfectly balanced and did not affect my pH readings at all. I think the thing to do is add small doses and keep testing. I am now confident I can keep my hot tub water chemistry well balanced. It does seems a little expensive but its going to last a long while as I really don't think I'll be using much so in real terms good value.

Does what it's designed to do. Worth having when you need to get your hot tub levels correct.
