Baby's Very First touchy-feely Colours Play book (Baby's Very First Books): 1 (Baby's Very First Touchy-feely Playbook)

I bought this last Christmas for my 11 month old daughter and she absolutely loved it. I gave it to her in her Christmas eve box. I dug the Christmas eve box out this year and came across the book - my now almost 2 year old has been loving it for the second year in a row. I really felt the need to leave a review for this reason. There's something magical about this book, I love it myself. It's really well made and there's a lot for babies and toddlers to discover with this book. A recommended treat for xmas eve box or stocking.

And the but is that it has some flip-flop pictures, which get torn off really easy and are not suitable for a small child.But otherwise it really is wonderful, looks like a jewel of a book I would say. I really like the style of the pictures and it has just a perfect amount of different textures and holes and such for the baby to touch. And I guess it does not matter so much if some flipflops will be torn as it still remains a nice book. The 11 months old likes it and I would think it would be very nice up to two years or so.

This is easily the nicest board book I’ve ever purchased. The sounds are lovely and not overly loud like some sound books are. The colours are beautiful and there’s plenty on each page for baby to do. My one year old son loves exploring the lift up flaps and different textures. I highly recommend this book.

Delightful. Colourful with easy to see but detailed illustrations. Lots of cut outs and indents on the page to encourage the baby to interact. The only detraction is that the flaps are not that strong (paper rather than thick board material) so if the book is left alone with a baby they can be easily ripped off. To maintain its usability and longevity, better to keep aside and only take out when an adult is ready to read with baby.

Our 6 month old daughter is really into books and she absolutely loves this one. Lovely colours and textures, it should keep little ones busy for a while. I agree with other reviewers that the flaps get torn off easily but babies are like that....I really recommend this book.

I’m a huge fan of Usborne and this book didn’t disappoint. Our little one is so excited whenever we get this book out for bedtime.

Nice little book, good colours and durable for small people, who can be a bit on the heavy handed side !
