In the picture the new one is on the right with the keys attached. Its identical in everyway except it does not have the Ford Mustang logo. It also comes with a metal key blank inside. We used this on a 2015 Mustang, no issues. You will have to move the circuit board and batteries and battery separator tab over from your original remote. On our remote , the batteries stack oddly, whereas the positives terminals face each other with a small plastic separator. They don't stack positive to negative like most batteries do so be real sure you look at the battery orientation of the old remote and also move over the white plastic separator to keep the batteries from shorting.

I bought this to replace a 2016 Ford Explorer key fob and I cannot get the fob to close! It’ll close without the battery and motherboard but once I put them it doesn’t fit together anymore.

Required white piece of paper separator that positions between the two batteries is missing. Fortunately I was replacing the original housing and I was able to use the one from the original housing. Without the white paper separator the remote will not work at all.The plastic housing worked well.

Everything is as it was advertised. The cover fits, but doesn't QUITE fit together, but it is locked and all the bottoms work. Shiny and new, beats the duct tape!
