I can smell the herbal scent of the rosemary but this is really an oil and is not a rice water spray at all. It comes in a dropper form and is rubbed into the scalp like most oil serums. Ingredients are: Hydrolyzed Rice Extract, Rosemary leaf oil, Hydrolyzed Sesame Seed extract, Biotin, Ginger, and caffeine. These are all ingredients that are commonly found in hair growth serums and oils. This is a heavier oil and should be used when you have time before you wash your hair. Ideal time is in the evening before bed when you are going to wash your hair the next day. This allows it to remain on your head and scalp for a while but allows you to wash the oils out of your hair before you go anyplace. It will make your hair look greasy. So, unlike rice water sprays it is a heavy oil that you massage into your scalp.
