Canon EF25 II Extension Tube

Delighted with this extension tube. It now allows me to use my long telephoto lens for macro photography. I opted for the Canon brand extension tube over MUCH less expensive brands because it is both dedicated to my system and supposedly more robust. It's a good 5x more expensive, so I'd expect it to do an excellent job. At the end of the day it's a hollow tube, so what could go wrong?

Bought this to go with my Sigma 105mm macro lens and a Canon 5D me iv. I had heard that there were some connection issues with cheaper options and wanted to ensure that I didn’t have those problems so was prepared to spend the extra money. At first I thought that there was an issue with auto focus but soon identified that the length of the lens with the extension tube attached lowers the amount of light hitting the sensor. When the light was increased for example by working outside auto focus worked well. User should also be aware that depth of field is greatly reduced with the 25mm extension tube and focus stacking may have to be used to get back to front focus. Gets great closeups.

I wanted to use the Extension Tube with my 70-200mm lens to produce larger images when photographing butterflies. Having got used to the small focussing range, I have achieved some excellent results

Awesome bit of kit! You buy cheap you often pay twice in my opinion so I just went for the best I could get & got this straight from cannon, easy to use & does a great job on lots of lenses

Essential piece of kit that opens up so many photo opportunities

Useful length for day to day macro and easy to use with auto connection which is what you pay for

Not the cheapest extension tube.However, in this case (as so often with Canon), you do get what you pay for.Excellent quality.
