Just Like Floss

This is a most enjoyable, beautifully written and illustrated book. Gives a cozy and warm feeling. G-kids will love it. Have plush border collie Mom and Pup to make the experience tactile as well. Got them on Amazon too. Great little story about a border collie named Floss who has pups on a farm that raised sheep. One pup took to herding the sheep right off. He walked right up to them and they gathered around him. When he looked an old Ewe in the eye they all scattered. Their Daddy said, OK. You can keep him. We need a new collie. All's well.

Really liked this book. The pictures tell the story well enough without the words. My grandchildren can tell it by themselves with only a couple of readings to them. So cute.

My toddler visits the local library and the floss series is his favourite bunch of books to "read". Great encouragement for me. Bought for a Christmas prezzie so I'm looking forward to the look on his face come Christmas day!

Ok I'm biased as I grew up on a farm surrounded by border collies but I love this book...ok and my 5 year old does too !Really nice story, we loved Shepherd Boy so bought this after we read and enjoyed that, and it didn't disappoint.Pleasant story but the illustrations make both books, simply beautiful, my son adores this

Wonderful sequel to Floss. Darling puppies with adventurous story of one puppy and herd of sheep. Setting picturesque.

I think it is sympathetically written and catches the border collie spirit. My granddaughter loves it. the pictures are lovely.

Petit livre magnifiquement illustré, un peu à l'ancienne comme sur la couverture. Il s'agit d'une histoire simple, écrite avec un vocabulaire choisi pour sa justesse et en gros caractères. Elle veut illustrer la connexion qui existe entre les êtres humains, les animaux et l'environnement. L'histoire raconte pourquoi le plus petit chiot de la portée de Floss restera à la ferme pour garder les moutons avec sa mère. Mes petits enfants ( 4 et 6 ans ) adorent regarder et commenter les illustrations et apprennent beaucoup de vocabulaire pertinent. La plus grande est capable de lire l'histoire toute seule. L'histoire est assez intéressante pour permettre un riche échange de commentaires pendant et après la lecture.
