This hat box is great for storage of hats and other things on high closet shelves. It's much easier to lift up to a higher shelf than storage bags with no hard sides, because the cardboard in the sides and bottom of this box provide structure. Super easy to assemble - it just unfolds, and you push the bottom piece into place. It has the double zippers so you can undo it from either side. The handles are in convenient places on top and on one side, plus there is a detachable shoulder strap. It's a really nice size, so you can fit anything from wide-brim sun hats to baseball caps in it. It came with an over-the-door hook so you can hang it up, but honestly, the door hook doesn't make sense to me how it works, and it's all just pointy metal that catches on stuff, so I won't be using that. I actually managed to fit a few other pieces of costuming besides my hats in there because it's so roomy. This was a great find, altho it seems a bit pricey for what it's made from.

This is a pretty well made hat box considering that it is foldable and can hang. I wish it was a bit deeper as I can probably on store 2 straw/ cowboy hats in it. Should work well for traveling by car and keep hats from being accidentally crushed.Construction seems pretty solid. Straps and handles are all good. I thing the hanger could be a bit better designed as it has no way of locking onto the box. It won't be easy to knock the box off it. However, I can see it getting lost during transport. Something more of a locking clip would have been better on that end of the hanger. Otherwise I like it.

I am thoroughly impressed with this hat box. I had my reservations, because it didn't look like your typical hat box. It's not comparable to a hard hat box, but for what it is, this thing works fabulously. I was able to fit both of my Stetsons in the box, and was able to even stack both on top of one another without really bulging the top too much. I'm a bit hesitant to keep two in the box because I don't want the one on top to stretch, but time will tell. Anything beyond two would be out of the question. The sides are pretty sturdy, especially for a collapsible hat box, and the bottom is definitely just as sturdy. This is designed pretty well for what it is.

I needed something to store my summer hats. This will certainly fit more than 1 hat and will neatly fit on the top of my closet. The construction is ok, not perfect.

Granted this isn't going to compete with the higher end hat boxes but it does the job well. The box comes flat and kind of pops into shape. It fits my cowboy hat with room to spare. I use it mainly for storage. If you are travelling with it, the hat will obviously plop around so you may want to add some kind of filling. For the price and my limited use, this was a nice find!

I requested this hat box for review because I wanted one large enough to protect my Stetson. I didn’t notice, however, that the listed dimensions on the box’s Amazon page are inconsistent: in one place it says 19”, in another 18”, and in another 17.5”. Unfortunately, none of these is even the size of hat it will hold! While the box is 17.5” from corner to corner, that’s not the relevant measurement unless your hat’s brim is an octagon instead of a circle. From edge to edge, the inside of the box is only 16” across. That means it comfortably fits my floppy hat with a brim that’s 15.75” across, but there’s no hope for my 18” Stetson. The box’s height is also incorrectly listed as 7” when it’s actually 6.75”; my red church hat would’ve fit fine in a 7” box, but the top of the net bow has to be bent slightly if I want to close the lid of this box. Even if your hats aren’t huge, I doubt this box can carry the advertised “3-5 hats” unless they’re semi-collapsible, like a baseball cap, or are exactly the right shape to nest; otherwise, too much space is lost when they’re stacked.I do like that the box can be folded for storage when not in use. I’m rather puzzled by the straps, though—if a hat box is for protecting hats, why would you want to carry or hang it sideways, putting stress on (and potentially bending) the brim?The sides are nicely rigid. You can’t press super hard on them or they’ll try to fold, but they’re resistant enough to provide some protection if the box slides around on top of your luggage. The top of the box is cloth, though, so you can’t stack it with other hat boxes for storage at home despite how it looks.I found four loose threads on this product (see picture for two), but gentle tugging didn’t cause them to unravel anything.It’s not terrible for the price, and it’ll work for someone with hats that aren’t as large as mine, but I can’t rate it any higher when the dimensions are incorrect.

I received this product and am very pleased with it. Durable. Holds up to three hats. I have a cowboy hat and several fascinators, they all fit in this box. Compact enough to place on the closet shelf, will keep my hats dust free. Came with a folded stiff bottom piece which keeps the shape of the box. Highly recommend.

Arrived in a compact folded package. Unfolds quickly and has another folder to stiffen up the bottom. Only wish it had a foldable support for my hats to sit on to keep them in shape and secure.
