This gate opener is quite powerful and more than enough to open most gates. Each of the two gates can be up to 900lbs and 20' long. They will also work on a slope up to 15°. The power required to move almost half a ton of gate up and down a 15° slope is considerable. It is pretty basic to install the opener on each side. Then you have to wire it up to the power source of your choice. It is 12V power so a solar panel, solar controller, and battery is probably the best choice for many. You could also run it off A/C power but an adapter is needed for that. The gate comes with 2 remotes and there is also an app that you can put on your smartphone to open the gates. This is handy if you have a lot of people who need gate access. There is also an available remote you can order separately that transmits 1500'. Overall this is a good quality gate opener at a reasonable price.

Very tough system and durable. Our gate setup wasnt quite smooth in the first place but this handles it good. Added extra components to make it all solar.

The Ad title description may be a bit misleading so look carefully.Look at the chart listed in the ad closely though, THIS WILL NOT work on a gate that is 900lbs AND 20 feet long. It will work on a 900lb gate that is 5 feet long *OR* a 250lb gate that is 20 feet long.Mine is nowhere near that heavy or long and I operate it with a solar charged motorcycle battery.No complaints yet, so I will give it my stamp of approval.

We desperately needed a new automatic gate opener so I was thrilled to find this one! After reviewing everything and making sure it would be a good fit we decided that it was perfect and ordered it! It came very well packed and everything matches up perfectly with the ad. My husband was easily able to install this and said if you are familiar with what you are doing it's very straightforward! After this was hooked up it easily and smoothly works everytime! So happy that we can finally close our gate again! This is great quality and super durable! Works great and we couldn't be happier! Solid 10 out of 10 and a great value for the money!

This is by far the easiest gate opener i have had to install so far. It is strong well made and simple. No overly complicated directions or assembly. Just what you need and nothing you dont.

It’s well-made easy to install and has a very in-depth booklet included. At first, I thought that the box that houses the electronics was larger than necessary until I realized that it is separated in half in a manner that gives you a place to store a battery, which is really nice.

Since I got a big gate in my front porch, I needed this system and works just fine. To be honest with you, installation is hard, but worth it, so I had to hire someone to do all that which needed some drilling as well. Both jacks are super strong and can haul decent weight. Also, the whole system is smart, so you can control i remotely as well. Highly suggested for big gates.
