If you ever wanted to have two (2) plastic salamanders, you probably couldn’t do much better than these. You receive a pink and a brown salamander, each identically about 3 and 1/3 inches long. They look very realistic and should be great to use in dioramas, plant vases, desktop décor, or pranks. (Although I am hard pressed to think of a good salamander prank!)Although I knew when I was ordering these that they were plastic, I was still a bit disappointed that they aren’t even the least bit bendable or squishy to be more realistic. When you try to lay them on small stones or gravel they just lay flat like a board. It’s a minor sticking point for me (and maybe only for me) but it’s just something that I thought I should mention.Each salamander comes with a small cardboard Animal Kingdom disk.Other than the different colors, the figures are identical. At a quick glance, these will easily pass for the real thing. As always, if a young child is playing with these, bear in mind that these are small enough to be potentially swallowed so all precautions should be taken.
