I love this product. I have a lot of hummingbird feeders and this helps to keep the sugar solution mold free and clear, especially in warmer weather. This saves me from having to replace the fluid and clean the feeders as often. I can also store the fluid longer in the fridge!

I've been using the Sapphire Labs Nectar Defender to extend the life of hummingbird nectar for a few years now. I pour a capful (see directions) into a prepared container of refrigerated nectar and shake it up. Then I pour it into the hummingbird feeder and hang it outside. Hummingbirds love to drink the solution ... and it stays fine until it's finished. No issues!

I first bought this to use in my hummingbird nectar during the first part of the season when it tends to sit a little longer. I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well it works, always a skeptic when it comes to products that seem too good to be true. It truly takes such a small amount of this to keep your nectar wonderfully fresh! I have continued with it into later season as I’ve noticed such a difference in how clean my feeders stay. Couldn’t be more pleasantly surprised at its effectiveness.

I've used this twice while we were out of town for 1 week each time. Even though the feed was not discolored or smelled sour on my return, I did change it out just to give them fresh sugar water. Works great and is safe. Did not deter the hummers at all. I will buy again.
