Good ingredients as Algae and seaweed as the first ones but No whole antarctic krill, Astanxanthin, Capsanthin or Zeaxanthin. Are these banned in Europe? Without these ingredients the price doesnt add up.

Mbuna eat algae -- they are not carnivores -- so if you're feeding yours regular cichlid food (with fish meal as a main ingredient) you are doing them a disservice. This is a fantastic food for your mbuna, since it is truly made of algae. If fed carefully, the tiny pellets will float for quite a long time (allowing your shyer fish time to wait for the bullies to finish before coming out of their hiding places to feed). The pellets are very small -- perfect for fish that have reached a length of about an inch upward. New Life has another Spectrum AlgaeMAX food with bigger pellets to use when your fish are big enough to eat it.

It’s new life spectrum, need I say more? NLS is the premier food on the market, and I use it almost exclusively for my Mbuna tank. Rarely does NLS receive anything from me but five stars and the only reason that algae max recieved 4 and not 5 is this particular pellet seems exceptionally hard, and some of my Mbuna are not accepting it. Currently using it with a mixture of two other pellets, cichlid formula and TherA + with garlic. Because all my Mbuna are still juveniles I’m currently soaking it prior to introducing it into the tank

My fish love these Algae Max pellets. They have a strong garlic smell that seems to draw all my fish to it. Will only be purchasing New Life Spectrum. They have great quality food that never goes to waste!!

I raise my Tropheus on the food and have never had blot. Awesome color in the fish. Algae eatingplecos also do well on this food.
