Excellent entry into the world of mirrorless cameras
Nice update to the Z50 MK1, this adds quite a few improvements over the previous version which in itself is an excellent camera. If you liked the old version and looking for an upgrade then you won't be disapointed and if you are new to mirrorless cameras this is a great place to start. I'm very pleased with this camera and would recommend it to both new photographers looking to step up from point and shoot and more experianced photographers looking for a good quality backup unit. Both lenses are also excellent considering the price point of the kit.

Quality camera and two lenses.
This dual lens kit is a great way to save money if you intend to buy a longer zoom lens to back up the standard zoom lens supplied with camera. I have always wanted to own a Nikon camera and I would have purchased the Z50 but I didn't like the flip down screen. The Z50II has a fully articulated pull out screen. Been using the camera for a week now and it's excellent. One word of advice buy a couple of spare batteries and an external charger.

Amazing camera but battery could last longer and weight has gone up
From the original Z50 this is surely a good improvement and I love the power of the new microprocessor that allow me for a better image stabilization (still only digital and not in-body type) and faster and more precise outofocus. But the improved processor is also draining the battery a bit faster and Nikon has tried to compensate a bit by increasing the battery size and with that the weight has also gone up quite considerably. But overall the Z50II is an improved camera on all fronts and from the more versatile and fully adjustable screen to more capable features for pictures and mostly videos, this camera is surely a superb entry point particularly for people producing media content

Good camera - unusable software and zero support from Nikon
Camera is great BUT the PhotoBridge software which was a selling point for me is TERRIBLE. It just doesn't work I tried on multiple phones, it just never connects. I contacted Nikon - they don't reply. So I sadly return this otherwise great camera.

An awesome camera that has so many features and fantastic image quality.
Wow! Now, I am no professional photographer, at best I'm an enthusiastic amateur where often expectation exceeds realisation, with that in mind I am blown away with this camera. The points that I really like about it are it has lightening fast focus, and the focus is multipoint. I have a cannon crossover and it often fusses away trying to focus on near objects, not this Nikon it focuses in milliseconds. The viewfinder is electronic and apparently they have increased the brightness from the previous model, can't compare but it is as clear as can be, I also like the fact that when you take a picture the preview shows on the screen or in the viewfinder till you press the shutter button again (it times out eventually if you don't touch anything). The screen is very clear and I like the fact that it is protected by folding into the back of the camera body, it can be tilted out to the side and rotated from that position if you want to do a selfie for example or an overhead shot. Another great feature is its ability to pre take several images as you half press the shutter to prepare to take a shot, this means for action shots you have the opportunity to choose from a range of shots. The camera is shutterless so is very quiet in use and very fast. I believe this has an upgraded processor from the previous incarnation and i have to say there is no lag or noticeable delays when using it. You can get a range of lenses to fit this camera from wide angle to zoom. Like a lot of folks one tends to use your phone camera a lot now but as I am heading for the highlands in April I am so grateful to be able to use this camera I think it will definitely do the scenery more justice than my phone might. Other features of the phone are the video recording capabilities which are 4K UHD and it has features such as presenter mode that moves focus from your face to whatever you are holding on front of you, ideal feature for vlogs etc.. I have to say there are so many features on this camera that there will no doubt be many I will never use, that said I am going to have a good play with it to see what I can achieve. What an extraordinary piece of kit it is.
